Thank you so much for this mod, I've been playing with it since it came out and I honestly don't think I can go back to just vanilla names. Keep up the amazing work <3

@selkie - I've noticed, I'm currently trying to find out why it's doing it, I believe it could do with the localisation so I'll look into that while I run a few games to see if it makes any differences
wires and chains Oct 31 @ 4:35am
You probably noticed it already but this mod removes the diacritics from asian (or at least chinese) names, e.g, Dèng -> Deng.
The_Ramdom_Cheese  [author] Oct 30 @ 12:41pm
@Yusseter - I've noticed the same, I'm currently changing the cultures by adding "house_based_map_names" underneath "founder_named_dynasties" by comparing the game's default namelist files to this mods own in order not to accidental give it to a culture that doesn't have it by default, I'm currently working on the changes so it shouldn't take too long!
Yusseter Oct 30 @ 11:39am
causes clan government map names shows as default title names with last update
The_Ramdom_Cheese  [author] Oct 30 @ 11:30am
It seems the new update has changed some pre-existing default east asian namelists, as a result you may find some characters with underscores in their dynasty names.

I'm currently going through and changing/updating various namelists so they match the defaults so that anyone can enjoy playing without seeing any strange underscores, this will take some time!
The_Ramdom_Cheese  [author] Oct 28 @ 10:43am
--- IMPORTANT ---

Today All Under Heaven has released, and as such I'll begin expanding the localisations to include the new nameslists and dynasty's added, this will take some time so please wait patiently until then:steamthumbsup:
lakupupu Oct 23 @ 7:08am
right on, good to hear
The_Ramdom_Cheese  [author] Oct 23 @ 6:36am
@lakupupu - Will do, I'll make sure to do so for future updates!
lakupupu Oct 23 @ 5:42am
if there are any further updates that expand the namelist, could they include the sources where the names were picked from?
The_Ramdom_Cheese  [author] Oct 22 @ 3:36pm
@lakupupu - Good point, Although I should've back when I started this as a small project a year ago. I had never bothered to to remember the sites... mind you I've gone through many sites, so many to the point where I can hardly count let alone remember.

It sounds ridiculous coming from me and in response I apologise deeply, however I can confirm that plenty were sourced from Wikipedia!
lakupupu Oct 16 @ 8:41am
a cursory glance at the localization files lists the names, but there doesn't appear to be a text file or anything of the sort with what kind of historical sources the names have - "common knowledge", chronicles of the time period for example?
that is why i'm curious if there could be such a list that compiles the sources and gives pointers as to where they are from
if not, is there going to be a list, such as a bunch of sources (like the aforementioned examples) that give pointers as to where the names are from?

@Golden - I appreciate the help! My discord username is the same as my steam
Golden Oct 15 @ 11:57pm
and Only 2 of the prussian female names are actually female haha
Golden Oct 15 @ 11:52pm
@The_Ramdom_Cheese Hey If You have a discord, I'm lithuanian myself I could compile a txt file for you :)
The_Ramdom_Cheese  [author] Oct 15 @ 2:41pm
@Golden - Sadly had trouble searching for historical female Lithuanian names, the sources I used claimed that some were female... I'll try and look harder into finding genuine female Lithuanian names to replace the masculine ones, I'm terribly sorry
Golden Oct 15 @ 2:38am
I think sometimes Lithuanian female's get Male names

IMPORTANT NOTICE!

Heavenly Kings is set to release on the 28th, so for now there won't any updates until Heavenly Kings is out for at least awhile, giving me time to add the new additional names to the namelists & dynasties!

common/culture/name_lists/00_central_germanic.txt has errors on lines 397 and 530:
Malformed token: dynn_Liechtenstein

The closing quotation marks are missing.
The_Ramdom_Cheese  [author] Sep 12 @ 12:45am
I plan on trying to do add more to Arabic cultures, then afterwards I'll approach more of the Nomads and other Asian cultures!
The_Ramdom_Cheese  [author] Sep 7 @ 11:12pm
I apologise for the crashes that may be suddenly occurring since the recent update, I recommend starting a new save!
Caporegime Sep 7 @ 9:54pm
I'm having crashes with this mod enabled still. They usually occur around September 6th in-game.
Halfdan Sep 7 @ 9:42pm
@treezybaby im having it too
treezybaby Sep 7 @ 9:33pm
anybody else having issues with swedish names for females? like it's just blank?
The_Ramdom_Cheese  [author] Sep 7 @ 1:32am
I'm still trying to get to the root of these issues that cause crashes for certain dates. I'll be busy looking deeply into the game logs with just this enabled!

It may take awhile but I seriously don't want this to be a constant issue for all of you to deal with so I'll do my upmost best!!!
The_Ramdom_Cheese  [author] Sep 5 @ 11:18pm
@holesoul - Thank you, I'm sorry that I haven't found the issue causing these crashes, please take your time!
holesoul Sep 5 @ 4:32am
Ahh, I've been plagued with the same problem others reported, crashes on specific dates. I use a smallish list of mods. A mod I'm using is clearly conflicting but there's nothing obvious. This mod is my favourite one I got this year so want to try to get the bottom of it. If I figure out what it's conflicting with I'll update!
The_Ramdom_Cheese  [author] Aug 29 @ 3:48am
I'm uncertain, if it's to do with the requirement of DLC?

I've gone and done a few games as Norse characters and have both tried converting to a local culture and becoming Norwegian/Danish/Swedish when the culture split event occurs without encountering any crashes.

I'm really hoping this has nothing to do with DLC, has I'm aware not everyone is going to have every DLC, it may also be caused by conflicting mods or even loading orders.

But I'm truly uncertain, If my mod ruins your experience with these crashes then I apologise for it as I'm stumped over trying to find the cause.
The_Ramdom_Cheese  [author] Aug 27 @ 1:09pm
I like to apologise to everyone whose been experiencing during the Norse culture spiting event, I'm trying to figure out what's causing this.

It may take a short while but I'll try and figure out!
The_Ramdom_Cheese  [author] Aug 27 @ 12:59pm
@Gardiaxiyn - I'm sorry for the crashes this mod has caused you, I'm trying to figure out what's causing it to crash when it comes to the Norse split.
This mod is causing my game to crash
Gardiaxiyn Aug 27 @ 12:03pm
I have been debugging and searching for why the norse split event crashes my game, but figuered out it is this mod.
Reading the last couple of comments and seems im not the only one... If only i found this sooner rip
JOЯDAИ Aug 27 @ 12:01am
You da best buddy, thanks! :ambition:
The_Ramdom_Cheese  [author] Aug 26 @ 11:19pm
@JOЯDΛИ - I've fixed it, it should appear normally after I've updated it
JOЯDAИ Aug 26 @ 7:48pm
I had a Noaidevuohta guy named KO_pr, not sure if that is right
The_Ramdom_Cheese  [author] Aug 25 @ 10:18pm
I'll also look into MO_D_guD_r
The_Ramdom_Cheese  [author] Aug 25 @ 10:17pm
@georgopol united fan - Add me then try and send the link to me, Steam doesn't remove links in dms
flabba wabba babba noonga Aug 25 @ 5:23pm
Welp steam removed my link
flabba wabba babba noonga Aug 25 @ 5:22pm
{LINK REMOVED} the debug file where the exception occurred is the final three lines of the file.

[10:02:54] [character_window.cpp:1013]: Open character 'MO_D_guD_r Vámúli of d_smaland (Internal ID 50355053)'
[10:02:55][D][pdx_gui_animation_datatype_valuehelpers.h:131]: Trying to trigger an animation with glow_alpha for a widget which has no glow
[10:02:57] [character_window.cpp:1013]: Open character 'MO_D_guD_r Vámúli of d_smaland (Internal ID 50355053)'

Crash occurs directly after a Norse character converts to Swedish, either through the fate of the norsemen event or the convert to local culture option.
The_Ramdom_Cheese  [author] Aug 25 @ 7:15am
@georgopol united fan - I'll be more then happy to receive your crash report, I apologise for the crashes the mod has been causing!
flabba wabba babba noonga Aug 24 @ 8:18pm
Can also attest to the fate of the norsemen event crashing the game. Specifically I think some norse names converting to swedish are doing it. Can send a crash report if needed.
The_Ramdom_Cheese  [author] Aug 23 @ 2:38am
@xeylop - I'll try and look into it!
