Bro, you messed up my textures. This mod broke my game and even after getting rid of it I still see signs of corruption. :steamthumbsdown:

@c0pz It's an old engine using a very slow and unoptimized language. Read the description and adjust the settings. I won't babysit you, figure it out yourself.

@meierhans No worries! And yeah sorry that the comments are disabled there, I totally forgot I did, was a nightmare trying to delete spam comments. But thanks for the idea though, I will add a convar to change the size or to disable them entirely.

Sorry to comment here about the combine flashlight addon, but comments are disabled over there.

I really like your addon, adds a lot of flair, so I added it to my coop server. It is just that the lens flares are too strong for my taste. Might be realistic, but It becomes really hard to identify the enemy type or see their movement when they have their flashlight on. I end up shooting in the general direction of the flare, hoping to hit something..

Would you mind adding a convar to either disable or adjust flares strength ?

hello! i'm using this mod as a minimap for a gamemode that isn't sandbox (the gamemode is map sweepers) and im wondering if there's a way to configure using local files or console commands

@zelektra it's still has the issue whenever you load a new map. the bugged scaling only applies after loading into a new game. also, holy shit, you work fast.

@Zelektra I just saw that it's the reverse for the Y coordinate.
the lower the mini map, the more offset to the left the full map is (as well as having an increased Y scale)

@Zelektra I figured it out. you have the full map's X position on the screen hooked up to the mini map's X position on the screen, that the further to the right the mini map is, the full map will be offset by the same amount. also, the full map's Y scale seems to somehow be inversely proportional to the mini map's X position value too.

@zelektra no, i know that. even after it's done loading, the maximized map still shows literally nothing. the mini map on the hud will show stuff, but the full map is just not there. it's like it's invisible. i think it's conflicting with something. looking into that rn.

@RetroSnektive Thanks for the feedback! I will update the addon soon, with the bug fixes you have requested. For the large maps, try increasing sv_minimap_minareasize, it will make the minimap less detailed but it should increase performance. Glad you're enjoying it so far at least ^^

oh, and if you change the minimap's coords then change server, the fullscreen map will also change its origin to those coords — so if you make the mistake i did and make it right-aligned, it will disappear offscreen entirely.

can you make a serverside toggle for whether other players can be drawn? this is excellent for map navigation, but showing enemy players makes it pretty bad for pvp </3

Maybe a LOD version of the map should be generated to be used when zooming out- it would definitely solve performance issues with larger maps if possible.
