Third Person Aim Fix [Type A]

Type B doesn't constantly move your camera around correcting itself where you aim. It stays in place and is consistent, at least in my opinion.

I have used both types of mods and feel that they are very good to use, but I still do not quite understand, is there any difference between these two mods? or they fundamentally the same?
MrCannon Sep 7 @ 10:51am
I don't need to use H.U.N.K third person keyboard edition and I don't want to use zoom. I just here to fix third person mode instead.
RainheartWS Aug 30 @ 7:26am
Works great. Thanks for this
Superior-Knight Aug 24 @ 4:51am
The character has no shadow, how to fix it?
SEND ME LOCATION Aug 24 @ 2:41am
mine is not working
kebab Aug 19 @ 9:01am
thank you

@Pizza Normal.
This mod doesn't make the player shoot directly at the crosshair. Instead, it adjusts the camera based on the player's aiming direction. Since Left 4 Dead doesn't support character rotation. To reduce camera shake, try using the left side view. A thirdpersonshoulderoffset value between -13 and -9 provides a more natural gameplay experience.

The SFX mod uses only '+Ultra Particle'⬆️⬆️, excluding gore and melee trace effects.
kebab Aug 18 @ 9:08am
what's the name of the muzzleflash/bullet tracers mod you are using
xof Aug 18 @ 7:42am
For me it's the polar opposite, my perspective is messed up and I don't shoot where my crosshair is - even when standing still and there's a target in front of me. For some odd reason I always shoot to the left instead of in the middle. I've tried various configs for Type A and none of them made a difference.
Pizza Aug 17 @ 3:24pm
When i didn't have this mod downloaded I realize that I wasn't shooting the targets correctly in third person lol, but this mod fixed that. One thing is the mod does some weird thing to where it kinda moves on its own when im not moving the mouse is that normal?
KillyChudder Aug 16 @ 1:47pm
say, do you happen to know any third person fix for stuff like the camera overlays for dirt and blood and other effects? I love thirdperson with all the many adjustments out there but it still doesnt feel quite like a full experience because of the lack of vfx
nixxy Jul 18 @ 4:49am
The accuracy is awesome and all but in return I’m getting motion sickness from playing—maybe it’s just me.
anny Jul 16 @ 6:28am
there is a stable third person shotgun sound fix from Shadowysn, which wouldnt crash occasionally

will you change the requirements?
JozeFrag Jul 8 @ 8:56am
@DeBlue have you found a solution to the 1st person?
Necromancer Jul 4 @ 8:38am
Guys, go to console and type "thirdperson" or "thirdpersonshoulder" to go third person. The game does not consider it an sv_cheats type of cheat, however in my experience in using it, it seems to make it possible to not get achievements anyway.
M1LF HUNTER Jun 21 @ 7:47pm
ye, idk why but i dont have 3rd person.
Arsene Jun 20 @ 2:52pm
I subscribe to the mod, I open the game, I start a single-player campaign, no third person. please explain it.
Tofos Jun 11 @ 10:52pm
Start the game, no third person, tf am I doing wrong?
DeBlue Jun 6 @ 10:30am
Well I can't seem to change the fov in 1st person. I have "cam_idealdist 0" and "fov_desired" "70" but the fov is actually lilke 90 or something whenever I hold down the RMB?
DeBlue Jun 6 @ 7:12am
Great thanks I see about the config. Another question is, are semi automatic weapons such as shotgun and sniper rifles (other than pistols) supposed to not have any recoil? I don't get it
PLUIE  [author] Jun 6 @ 6:43am
@DeBlue In the autoexec.cfg file, search for the 'FOV SECTION' and adjust the value of 'fov_desired'. Lower values will make the view more magnified

Next, go to the 'AIM SECTION HEIGHT' category and change the value of 'cam_idealdist'. There's no need to modify anything related to '-aim' Lower numbers will bring the camera closer to your character
DeBlue Jun 6 @ 6:13am
How do I change the fov change upon aiming? At the moment in first person when I press the RMB the FOV gets super high and it all looks awful. Other than that great mod
kaypunk May 30 @ 6:46pm
Is there any chance that this mod will work on dedicated servers one day?
AzaiKang May 30 @ 6:17am
I see, even 70 units away the aim is still good, just needs some getting used to for newbies. Thanks for the tweak, I'm still using it.
PLUIE  [author] May 30 @ 4:52am
@AzaiKang I made it to work that way. The aim fix function only activates for targets that are 70 units away from the player
AzaiKang May 30 @ 3:44am
I tried after playing a few hours, it seems that the Type B of your mod actually work, if the enemies is far away at least. But when its close, it still doesn't aim well at the crosshair.
PLUIE  [author] May 30 @ 3:40am
@AzaiKang If my thought is correct, the aim fix should work well even if you subscribe to HUNK's Xbox Controller edition
AzaiKang May 29 @ 9:47pm
Can you make Xbox Controller edition just like what HUNK did?
Norelphy Apr 4 @ 11:27am
Is that Cute and Funny!? 😭
John Helldiver Mar 31 @ 9:00pm
uh idk why but the aim still offside alot from my crosshair
AndrewMV Mar 30 @ 12:36pm
@Fait
I experience this too, the aiming is floaty and jittery, it seems to lock on at specific directions and it is easily replicable.
Disabling the dependency mod "[script]第三人称准星修复-Third person aiming repair" fixes it a little bit, but it makes accuracy slightly worse.
Hope one day it can be perfected and aiming in 3rd person feels just as good as in 1st person.
Fait Mar 29 @ 5:35pm
Is the crosshair supposed to jitter or "lock on" when aiming at zombies? Tested it with all other mods disabled, except for the required ones and config, but it still happens.
AndrewMV Mar 28 @ 12:46pm
Amazing.
Also based.
Lombaxtard Mar 19 @ 10:29am
This is transformative, thank you
The script is very impressive
PLUIE  [author] Mar 17 @ 3:52am
@♥LoLi♪PoP♥ if you scroll down, you'll find options for those who prefer a right side only view
PLUIE  [author] Mar 16 @ 12:21am
@ephi If it's about zoom, I bind a key in the autoexec.cfg to execute both the third-person view switch and the zoom function at once
ephi Mar 8 @ 12:45am
How did you adjust your crosshair since that's the only thing i need rn. Thank you!
†Miul† Feb 4 @ 8:29pm
emm when I want to aim for the first time the model goes to the right side and to correct that is with the down arrow and it's a bit frustrating. Could you correct that please?
Slim Jong Un Jan 30 @ 5:32pm
nevermind, my issue was caused by a different mod.
Slim Jong Un Jan 30 @ 4:09pm
mod causes aim to be extremely jittery when actually shooting zombies.
tomar the "terrible" Jan 30 @ 5:56am
if you used gachimuchi mods for your preview, i would've favorite it
D'rkveil Jan 29 @ 3:12am
Third-person work only perfect in local" no dedicated
PLUIE  [author] Jan 29 @ 3:03am
@KHR3b ( ͠° ͟ʖ ͡°)...

cute, adorable, kawaii ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
KHR3b Jan 28 @ 7:22pm
WHY so much anime women?
Skeller Jan 27 @ 10:22am
nice mod but remember, NEVER GOON
H.U.N.K Jan 25 @ 10:31am
@PLUIE I'm glad you like it, seeing others using it to make better presets is exactly what I wanted :)
PLUIE  [author] Jan 25 @ 6:27am
@H.U.N.K If you hadn't created the 3rd Person keyboard edition setup, I wouldn't have attempted this. Thanks for providing such a great base ԅ(¯▽¯ԅ)
H.U.N.K Jan 24 @ 11:01pm
You're amazing! you're making me wanna go back to playing this game again but I left and I don't plan on coming back XD.
