Yeah, I tried forcing more prayers, but it rarely ever actually gives me a chance of gaining new Devoted, and when it does, the chances are typically very low. Even when I have high chances, it rarely seems to work.

@SPESS

The new faith thing is a known bug, working on that. As for Devoted, I'd recommend triggering prayers via the prayer menu. I'm also working on new ways to gain devoted.
darkraven4422 Sep 9 @ 3:12pm
devoted mechanic is not a good idea in the actual form you die because of it and the probability to have a devoted is to small
SPESS Sep 8 @ 6:20pm
Oh and making a new faith removed my devoted and I immediately die. Maybe this isn't an issue if you do it in the early game, but when I did it later on it immediately ended me.
SPESS Sep 8 @ 4:03pm
The mod seems to screw me with RNG, giving me low to no chance of gaining new devotees and I die. Is there an easier way to sustain yourself?

@Daruius Angel

So, when you lose a level of piety, your avatar trait falls in rank, as well. Meaning that you lose the potent trait, for example.

As for the random sinful actions - your piety level is limited by the amount of your devoted. If it gets higher than your max, it will rise briefly and then fall back down, sending the message
Darius Angel Sep 4 @ 1:54am
Hey, just noticed a few things on my first try. Mainly the potent trait keeps appearing and then disappearing and sometimes it just randomly says "Your sinful actions come at a cost" after doing exactly nothing.

@Mr_Krabs

Yeah, that makes sense for the bug....
As for the discord, probably got outdated. I'll fix it.
Mr_Krabs Aug 30 @ 6:36pm
also the discord link doesnt work
Mr_Krabs Aug 30 @ 6:13pm
well i do know why its because i lose all my devoted
Mr_Krabs Aug 30 @ 6:10pm
anytime i try to reform my faith so i can adopt feudalism my character dies and i dont know why
MSgt Peterson Aug 30 @ 5:50pm
I feel ya.

Any plans for Divine Conception? As well as naming one or a few followers as a Everchosen as well as corruption? Chaos Gods emit corruption through it's influence and followers, especially champions. The Emps in 40K is basically the Chaos God of Order, and emits corruption in his own way. I suppose Supernaturals / Exalted Creation would function as your greater demons.

@Michigan Mayor
Unfortunately I do not own the DLC for playing landless, so I haven't tested it out - it makes sense that reborn won't work though, as the implementation creates a character, makes it your heir, gives it your titles and then plays as it
Michigan Mayor Aug 30 @ 8:07am
it seems like the reborn as immortal wont work as a landless adventurer
Michigan Mayor Aug 30 @ 7:49am
hey there is a bug, when i die, my character gets born again, but i get a game over screen and i cant play as them
Sharpie Aug 29 @ 4:51pm
Gotcha thanks, I was having an issue for a bit on my save. My first devoted kept immediately getting killed, which would then kill me as well.
tuyrh333  [author] Aug 28 @ 10:59pm
@Sharpie How many devoted do you have? That's the maximum Piety Level you can reach
Sharpie Aug 28 @ 5:14pm
Is devotion supposed to keep resetting to the lowest level everytime i gain a level? Everytime I game a level, the next day it says i am sinful and dropped a level. Resetting progress to 0.
tuyrh333  [author] Aug 28 @ 9:49am
@MSgt Peterson

I can see why you would say that. I'm open to allow their god traits to enable divine powers and responsibilities (it's done already with another mod, trial of Vivec) but to actually connect the mods.... Idk. I feel like we have different visions, and my development schedule is basically "When I have the urge, code a feature in two days and release it, wait a month or so before another opportunity" and that doesn't really work with a partnership
MSgt Peterson Aug 28 @ 6:09am
This should be combined with legacy of the gods.
tuyrh333  [author] Aug 27 @ 9:58pm
@Ezzoh
Yeah, you can keep answering prayers for the same guy, but make sure you see the chance -if you don't, it means it's 0 because they are not a faithful person. You can also use the Prayer Management interaction on yourself to trigger more prayers you could answer.

Granting immortality won't make someone your devoted, but it will zero the piety gain from them - eternals are a safe choice for Devoted, because they keep your max PL high and protect you from detachment, but they don't generate piety for you. So it's a mixed blessing.

As for taking immortality away... Well, you can smite. That's about it. They won't return from a smite.
Ezzoh Aug 26 @ 8:58pm
@tuyrh33
Awesome thanks, so just keep answering more and more for the same guy? I also thought there was supposed to be something tied to giving people immortality?

Also, do you have any plans in the future to remove immortality from someone? I ended up giving it to someone to test out turning them into devoted :D
Now I want it back haha
tuyrh333  [author] Aug 26 @ 1:27pm
@MacArthur
Define soon. Probably not all domains will come at once, and even for the first ones it might take a month or two. Big feature.
tuyrh333  [author] Aug 26 @ 11:06am
@Ezzoh
Hey, so to get devoted you have to answer prayers. The more devout the person, the bigger the chances they become devoted.
MacArthur Aug 26 @ 12:58am
is update for the domain feature coming out anytime soon?
Nuada Airgetlam Aug 25 @ 9:07pm
my dilemma
Ezzoh Aug 25 @ 6:43pm
Not clear how to get devoted, I have been stuck. I gave someone immortality, and I already answered a prayer...
Nuada Airgetlam Aug 24 @ 8:15pm
devoted take some getting used too
Shaldow_Waker Aug 11 @ 1:12pm
It seems that even with the gamerule no AI gods, they still appear with perpendicularitys and avatars.
Kangarus Aug 7 @ 7:12pm
Enjoying the mod so far; gave it a good run as a Nubian Egyptian pagan thanks to Polytheism Reborn, had a lot of fun. Looking forward to seeing further enhancements.
Nagazora Jul 28 @ 11:43pm
100% personal opinion but I think it would work better if divinities couldn't be landed, maybe by prophets only. CK3 favors blobbing easily even from the beginning and it's not like avatars or perpendicularities can face succession
ma0tje Jul 27 @ 1:27am
@tuyrh333: The enemy often is bigger but never really stronger. But what you say makes sense! Thanks for the reply =)
tuyrh333  [author] Jul 24 @ 9:10am
@ma0tje is the enemy army bigger and stronger than yours? The titan is strong, but it's a single unit, so when killed it's pretty immediate.
Development as a diety is right now limited to piety level
Bub Jul 22 @ 9:52pm
hey doubt you will see this but i made a new game with this mod and attempted to start without anyother gods as i found them kinda annoying to deal with however it spawned them anyway and no way to get rid of them just figured id let you know that turning them off in the rules doesnt seem to actually deactivate them
ma0tje Jul 20 @ 3:10pm
First of all great work on the mos, been loving it so far.

One question regarding the MAA. When I create for example an army for myself and the Titan during the battle phase they instantly lose.

Been running it with Elf Destiny don't know if that is the cause?

Also when you become an God are you suppose to get interactions to evolve as a Divinity?
tuyrh333  [author] Jul 19 @ 11:11am
Alright, so I checked - it has nothing to do with being a god, and more likely with how the game handles piety costs for man at arms. It happened to me while not being a god and just having the maa
SirChaos77 Jul 16 @ 6:46am
Started a game with only the Shards mod; same issue as before.

The tooltip mod doesn´t change any game mechanics; it adds the exact health, fertility and stress value to the tooltip of the health symbol (heart) in the character view.
tuyrh333  [author] Jul 15 @ 1:50pm
If you disable the other mods, is it different?

The tooltip one sounds a bit suspect, perhaps
SirChaos77 Jul 15 @ 5:48am
I don´t have any mods active in that playset that look like they could be the cause, either:
BCK - Dynmaic Lifestyle XP; Early Medieval Eras; No Holy Sites Needed; UltimateTooltipFramework; Hiraeth - Dynastic Legacy Overhaul; Young and Beautiful
tuyrh333  [author] Jul 14 @ 1:31pm
That's really strange. I haven't done anything especially unique with the cost, so I'm not sure why this would happen - it's possible that the shown amount vs the actual one is different for some reason, but I struggle to know why that would be
SirChaos77 Jul 14 @ 9:09am
Also, completely removing the holy MAA changed the monthly Piety gain to 36.6 (so +7.9 instead of +4.5), with no undocumented Piety cost on a new month.

This was with a total +77% bonus to Piety gain (and 4.5 times 1.77 is close enough to 7.9), which *might* mean that the calculation deducts upkeep from Piety gain *before* applying the bonus... and then apparently again afterwards.
SirChaos77 Jul 14 @ 9:02am
After a bit of experimentation, I think the issue is that upkeep for the holy MAA is twice the amount that is shown. I started a new game, the piety gain/loss breakdown shows +28.7 Piety, actual gain during the first month was +24; MAA upkeep was shown as 4.5 Piety, so considering that the Piety total doesn´t show fractions, it is possible that the actual gain was 24.2 which might mean that MAA upkeep is twice the listed amount.

Then I raised the MAA; upkeep shown was 13.5, Piety balance shown was 12.7 (which is odd enough considering MAA upkeep only rose by 9), and the next month I lost 1 Piety - consistent with 12.7 gain minus 13.5 additional MAA upkeep.

So there appears to be something wrong with MAA upkeep.
SirChaos77 Jul 14 @ 12:44am
Not auto-answering prayers. It´s every month while the avatar is leading the army, it appears to be the same amount every month.

I also noticed that, if I raise only the levies and leave the MAA at home, I lose only about 9 Piety a month (it shows +5.75, but Piety goes down by 3 or 4 each month). So the cost for raised holy MAA appears to be higher than is shown in the UI, but there is also something else.
tuyrh333  [author] Jul 13 @ 12:39pm
@SireChaos

No, it shouldn't - is it a flat 20-30 everyy month, or does it drop in large amounts a few times a year?

Also, are you auto-answering prayers?
SirChaos77 Jul 13 @ 7:19am
When I go to war and my avatar is personally leading an army, I start hemorraging Piety; the resource bar at the top would tell me I have a positive or somewhat negative (-5 or so per month) Piety balance, but I experience a net loss of 20-30 piety per month. Is that supposed to happen?
PussiMech Jul 6 @ 2:43pm
a god killer weapon would be cool
scottytsr Jul 5 @ 10:22am
Could you add a trait for children? "Child of Prophet" or Child of Divine, kind of like a demi-god? Also maybe a descendant of X? Maybe the child's bonuses mimic the level of the Divine?

Is the issue that the other mod only works for the Immortal trait? Otherwise it should work well enough natively
