Can't say I know for sure. I'd assume NPCs would check every bad node every once in a while to eventually free it up.

And yeah, Deltarune actually uses that sound and sprite a lot - and it's hilarious every time

Oh, alright, thanks for the explanations! Does it update if a path becomes open though? (since otherwise that would leave every possible path blocked forever, though I'd say that one NPC telling others not to use a specific path isn't that realistic either (though Valve likely implemented such to avoid annoyances with NPC navigation).

Wait: DELTARUNE of all games has an 90s-era game-style explosion sprite AND a Roblox-style explosion sound effect? (apologies: I'm not familiar with it)

As for how this add-on detects failures, I check the current task and condition every NPC has, every tick. (66 times a second)
If their current task is from a failure, or their condition is a failure, it's detected and blown into little bits.

I actually yoinked the sound effect and sprite straight out of Deltarune.
As for the second scientist, he immediately failed to follow me because every node leading to me was blocked. If NPCs fail to navigate to a specific node, they'll mark it as "bad" and tell others to avoid using it.
In this case, he tried to pathfind but couldn't find a path, because every node leading up to me was marked "bad".
Not the best explanation, but I hope it works lol

Good (& funny!) concept! Interesting footstep sounds too! (I know they're not part of this addon but I still thought I'd comment on them)

Clever with using the classic Roblox explosion sound effect too: always classic (I realize that you may not have gotten it from Roblox but it's the same stock sound effect as from said game (same quality as Roblox's too).

May I ask what the second scientist NPC in the demo video failed to do? (simply walk? Heck how does this addon even detect any & all NPC failures in the first place? (unless the game specifically reports when one fails to do an action)
