The moment I realized every credit sequence was gone was when I could see the amount of SPITE 343 had for the past games that blow anything they do out of the water by just simply existing.

Oh it was not lazyiness, it was very intentional to remove the credits for games they did not make.

Lack of credits was incredibly lazy by the MCC devs. Glad the community is still strong. Thank you.

Pure, absolute, pathetic spite. With the MCC coming to PC and being mainly digitally-available, there was no reason whatsoever, from a technical or legal standpoint, to not have the credits there. The game should've been preserved 100% as-is.

But it isn't. Because 343 didn't earn this, they know it, they botched their series, and they're mad about it.

Having this back in some form without having to watch an old YouTube video in 720p makes me so happy that it gets me a bit teary eyed. I for the life of me cannot understand why they had to cut this out along with others. I can't say I buy the argument that it's because of copyright reasons because even Halo 4's end credits are removed too. I can only hope that one day they get put back in in some way (even the OG loading screens), but if this is the best we got, I'll take it.

@Bik Knight that will happen if you load the regular level. My version is with anti cheat disabled and in modded campaign

And is it ok if credits cut off after the first lead team list and after that there is an advancing to the next level, that is, the continuation of the cutscene is the same as set by 343? I have this problem in the regular version of Halo MCC with Anti-Cheat enabled.

It's a shame that stuff like and the Halo 2 intro were ever removed from MCC. It should always remain for the sake of game preservation alone.

I heard 343 had to remove it due to copyright or something. I understand if it's true it's just such a shame to remove them.

Was always stupid to axe the credits, especially in reach where the audio now cuts off abruptly. The credits are part of the halo experience. Now if only we could get CE's original loading screens

@LanHikariDS It really isn't worth getting into it with the 343 Dick Riders. It is, and always has been beyond unacceptable for them to have handled the credits the way they did. It just boils down to their ego that eventually led to their downfall as a studio. They could have easily allowed players to skip the credits, but no, they didn't feel like putting in the basic amount of effort it would have taken them to give credit to the good games. 343 never EVER got the slightest inkling of what makes for a good Halo game and they're ashamed of it.

@icehorse you say that, but Halo 4 still has it's original post-credits message display after beating the game, and Spartan Ops still plays it's original credits. As for the speedrunning point, that's pretty dumb considering they could've been made skippable, just as 343 did with other cutscenes. Not to mention, as a result, Halo CE's ending is trimmed short, as it doesn't show Guilty Spark escaping the Halo ring.

I think there was something similar in Halo 3, will you be restoring that end screen as well?

seeing the credits for reach again made me tear up. the game helped me through a bunch of trouble

the number of people who cant do a quick google or AI search to find out why mcc doesnt have credits for any of the games, including the 343 ones, and are blaming 343 for it is quite disappointing. At the very least I'm sure that speedrunners appreciate 343 for not forcing players to sit through 5 minutes of credits for the 1000th time, and i hope ppl at least appreciate the fact that we can access the credits through a menu in the mcc.
