Also, you can turn off the red screen after death
Finde (Main folder)Half-Life 2>hl2>scripts>hudanimations
Create in custom folder another folder, for example "Disable red screen",into this folder create folder with name "scripts", and copy this file "hudanimations" into "scripts" folder.
You can change this file right away without all these manipulations with moving to the custom folder, but make a backup of this file
Open "hudanimations" and finde the line "event HudPlayerDeath"
Animate HudDamageIndicator DmgFullscreenColor "255 0 0 96" Deaccel 0.1 0.2
Animate HudDamageIndicator DmgFullscreenColor "255 0 0 255" Deaccel 0.3 4.0

and chandge "255 0 0 96" and "255 0 0 255" to 0 0 0 0 and 0 0 0 0

It is not necessary to unpack these two VPK files downloaded via workshop. Just rename them, for example, to "Freeman ragdoll_000".vpk and "Freeman ragdoll_dir".vpk and drag it into the custom folder. It is important that the name of these files should be the same, but one of them should have the "dir" saved after the underline "_" and the other should have a numeric index 000, 001, 002, etc., depending on the size of the mod and the number of files. These numbers should not be changed or erased.
If you accidentally assigned a dir to the wrong file, then as a rule the file with dir is the smallest in size in kilobytes.

I fixed this manually, replace the gordon ragoll with barney's physics smd and ragdoll animation. I think the survivor one / whatever hl2dm skin you used has a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up ragdoll

there's a mod for entropy zero 2 that does something like this but binds the player cam to the ragdoll so you get that first person tumble to the ground feeling. it adds a really heavy feel to deaths. would it be possible to get that working for this mod, as well?
