@Coder:

Tried it and it works indeed, even after adding midsave and in AGOT. Thanks for answering!
Coder  [author] Dec 18 @ 9:16am
Yeah, should still work.

This mod uses a common character interaction so there's always a chance that some other mod may overwrite it.
Nas Gonzalez Dec 18 @ 8:20am
@Coder: Does it still work and if not, do you plan to upkeep this mod?

And does it work for TC(total conversion) mods like AGOT?
Coder  [author] Nov 1 @ 3:46pm
Good job figuring it out. I believe you have to make that silly filename to only overwrite part of the script instead of the whole thing. Why they didn't take the load order into account is anyone's guess.
DyonisX Nov 1 @ 10:51am
I edited carnalitas' "zzz_carn_00_courtier_guest_management_triggers_overwrite" to match Invite to Camp's "99_courtier_guest_management_triggers.txt" as much as I could and now the button works, hope it doesn't break Carnalitas
Iceciro Nov 1 @ 9:49am
You can see this is how it works, by the way, in database_conflicts.log in the paradox folder. so load order in the launcher is pretty much irrelevant.
Iceciro Nov 1 @ 9:19am
So I spent way too long finding this only to see @dyonisX 's message now, and yeah. It turns out the launcher load order DOESN'T MATTER because a file higher in the list with zz_ in it will load after a file anywhere else on the list with 99_ (like this mod) - you can change this mod's to zzzz_ or something, BUT THIS IS RIDICULOUS. what;s the point of the launcher load order when every modder is using their own naming scheme and that NAMING SCHEME is more important than WHERE IN THE LOAD ORDER IT IS.

This is probably breaking a ton of mods besides this one honestly, since it feels like as a community we expect the load order to do something, but unless everyone uses the same name, it's not really anywhere near as important for load order as THE FILE NAMES IN THE MOD.
DyonisX Nov 1 @ 8:43am
Just checked my entire modlist without Carnalitas turned on and sure enough, invite to camp works, so I found the culprit at least
DyonisX Nov 1 @ 8:29am
I just checked with nothing but Invite to Camp installed and it works, is there any way to determine which mod disables it, besides trial and error?

I checked the files, and Carnalitas has a zzz file zzz_carn_00_courtier_guest_management_triggers_overwrite which your mod also edits, is it difficult to edit it to add your mod code into it?

That's the only similar file I've found, name wise, amongst the mods I use
Coder  [author] Nov 1 @ 1:05am
The load order may not matter if the modder prefixed the filenames with something like 99_ or zzz_ to prioritise them. Maybe try turning the rest of the mods off.
DyonisX Oct 31 @ 6:27pm
Also tried moving it to both the top and the bottom of the load order, doesn't work either time either, maybe 1.18.0.1 broke it?
DyonisX Oct 31 @ 6:21pm
I created a new campaign to check and it still doesn't work, so it's not an ongoing save related issue
DyonisX Oct 31 @ 6:19pm
I added this mod to an ongoing save, towards the bottom of my load order and it doesn't work

Either it requires a new save or it's incompatible with something
Coder  [author] Oct 31 @ 2:29pm
Not sure what's going on, but it works for me.
Paathurnaax Oct 31 @ 1:00pm
Says updated Oct 30, but it does not seem to work.
Genseric123 Jul 2 @ 5:53pm
Doesn't work, even at end of load order
Dash Jun 26 @ 2:23am
Think this needs an update. Not sure if I'm crashing because of it.
Shifty Fish May 28 @ 10:20pm
@Coder, Negative. Last in the load order and it's still happening. I do have Legacy of Valyria running for AGOT and it tends to not play nice with others, but it worked fine until this last update.
Coder  [author] May 28 @ 1:17am
@Shifty Fish, move this mod to the bottom of the playset to check if some other mod overrides it.
Shifty Fish May 27 @ 11:35pm
This mod has stopped working for me as of the 1.16.2 update. Unable to invite people to camp because the restrictions have returned.
blackbirdps3 Apr 25 @ 1:46pm
@Coder Haha. Good point.

Although, I did spend hours loading the game and turning mods off and on.
I don't have any solutions. But, I appreciate all of your hard work. This mod definitely improves the game.
Coder  [author] Apr 23 @ 1:28am
@blackbirdps3 I appreciate the report, but please don't use words like "definitely" when you blame a mod for some random unrelated issue in this bugfest of a game.
blackbirdps3 Apr 22 @ 6:31pm
I like this mod, but with the recent updates all of my Criminal missions abruptly end. I've tested out each mod multiple times and this one definitely is the cause behind it.
同月duo Mar 23 @ 10:35pm
Does it work in multiplayer mode?
Coder  [author] Mar 19 @ 2:27am
@Márton Good catch! Should be fixed now.
Puskás Márton Mar 18 @ 10:27am
I can invite ppl to my court with this but the "offer gold" checkbox will take the incorrect ammount of gold every time. I love this mod and it's a must have, however it feels like cheating to get the best npcs for cheap bcuz of a bug.
Zenaida Mar 13 @ 4:35pm
Still seems to work with 1.15! Thanks for the great mod. :)
Coder  [author] Mar 1 @ 2:14am
@Zoe Hexe Yes, it should work on an old save.
Zoe Hexe Feb 28 @ 11:23am
Do you know if this works mid-game? I have a lover I want to invite to camp and it absolutely boggles my mind that you have to be soul mates or best friends but nothing in between is allowed??
Air_CAV Jan 14 @ 5:25pm
This solves my major complaint with the adventure track!! Outstanding!
Coach Jan 13 @ 1:46am
Just for information, through process of elimination I can confirm that this mod is not compatible with the "Dynamic Trade Routes" mod.
edenxfund Dec 8, 2024 @ 8:00am
AI can use it?
Killer Rabbit Dec 4, 2024 @ 12:47pm
I love the thumbnail image. :ElizaHeart:
parxey Dec 3, 2024 @ 10:35pm
@fenfenscreescree I agree, not sure why this feature isnt in the game. it doesnt make sense. kudos to the creator of this mod
taesunwoo Dec 3, 2024 @ 7:37am
I'm a simple girl. I just like the pic

It would be interesting if different personality traits were affected by the camp buildings.

Gluttonous liking higher tiers of the mess tent and its buildings
Lustful liking the private tents
Zealous liking the portable shrine and the wandering ascetics
etc
Fennekii Dec 2, 2024 @ 3:49pm
@Woden
True, however, that is a different concern and mayhaps be a mod for it out there for that issue. I believe this mod is to aim at certain characters within the game. Someone with targeted skills, someone with claims, etc.
Ġedryht of Wōden Dec 2, 2024 @ 1:38am
@Fen
Really? The taverns when you visit a castle seem to practically throw decent followers at me.
I'm unlucky in every other way when it comes to this game tho.
FenFenScreeScree Dec 1, 2024 @ 2:53pm
i don't understand why this isn't a vanilla feature. It is mind mindbogglingly difficult to recruit officers with decent stats and i hate it, to the point that i've resorted to cheating via character spawning just to get things done.
