Place these commands in the file cfg/autoexec.cfg
snd_surround_speakers 7
windows_speaker_config 7
Get the ID for the mod from the url id=3366771296 so
steamapps\workshop\content\220\3366771296
then place in
steamapps\common\Half-Life 2 VR\hlvr\custom
It would be more work to bring this to the HL2VR workshop and it also might not even work through there so you should just copy the stuff yourself.

such as "Breen F#cking loses it" or "Jerma voice for Wallace Breen"
Personally I use 7.1, the audio was downmixed to stereo and compressed for the video when recorded on OBS. While I do have some other sound mods enabled, (edit of soundmixers.txt and dsoal EAX reverb) I did not find them to have a significant impact to the demo video.
