if all else fails just open the vpk and delete the sound folder :/

Strange. Must be another mod I have as I did exactly as described, which putting it after is what I thought I had to do as I did that with a Magnum mod not long ago, and the sound of this one still persists.

It has to be in this specific order: subscribe to this, enter the game, let it download, exit, subscribe to the sound, enter the game, let it download, done. it has to be this way because downloading a bunch of addons at the same time when you enter doesn't guarantee the right order.

You sure putting a custom sound before this works? Because I've put my current one above and below this gun in the load order, closed the game, and reopened it to test, and the sounds of this gun still remain somehow.

You're welcome to open the vpk and do it yourself or just subscribe to a different AK sound and make sure it's on top of this.
