If it's any help - i encountered the caravan west of eyesocket slave camp on the way to deadlands.

Mate, i am telling you, i only have visual mods. It must be vanilla caravan behaviour.

@oJy to be frank i've never seen a trade caravan travel through the deadlands on vanilla or while testing this mod so i dont know what to tell you. i could scrub through everything to see if the caravans do indeed travel in this region but again i never encountered that in vanilla or in testing. maybe its one of your other mods.

oh and i chose an awesome name but the redditors on here all reported it so now im stuck with this long list of numbers

Author i don't know why you chose such a awful name.. i can't copy it on phone. Anyway, it was a traders caravan they all died so i uninstalled it. The only overhaul mod i have that could change the Ai is reactive world. But reactive world doesen't change caravan behaviour at all. It only makes the Ai react to events such as hive queen being kidnapped.

@oJy youll have to be more specific. afaik there shouldnt be any npcs who enter this region of the game without protection. maybe it was an npc from another mod you have installed?

NPC just walks through the area without gas mask and dies... That's not a good balance.

Ok.. So.. I may want my life there to be really.. like really miserable.
I have Abnormal Grievers and Grieving Dolls roaming there (Doll mod)
I also have Iron Hounds installed.. and TIHYD Zoo adds Bloodhounds.
It will look like a regional mall on a saturday afternoon.. Can't wait to see if my little guys will survive. :steammocking:

@Judge Swagg That is also the impression I got from genesis. Haven't played it, but it just seemed like it would shatter my already somewhat modded game like glass.

@猫雷Kiss yes. there are a few things that would need to be translated. people have made patches for UWE, you can find them in the comments section. there isnt a patch for genesis to my knowledge

imo the "problem" with deadlands was just having all the top weaponry and prostetics in the center of the map, so an area of the map thats usually for easier difficulty. so ill leave you to an idea for another mod :wftogrin: move the scrapyard and prostetic shop or all the top notch weapons/prostetics to the ashlands per example

Hi! I've created a compatibility patch to ensure Ghastly Deadlands and Universal Wasteland Expansion work together smoothly. It equips non-robotic characters in Narko's Refuge with gas masks to survive the toxic environment.

Are the paladin's in Narko's trap supposed to be dying to the fog and acid rain? I dont remember them doing that until I installed this mod. This mod is great though, just one weird thing I noticed.

I absolutely love the concept, unfortunately, i play with UWE, and it adds some factions on the Deadlands, like the Narko Follower's, with who i like to play. I tried to see if maybe they would be be okey, but they started quickly dying :steamsad:

I freaking love this mod, but I've noticed an issue where certain areas with acid rain besides the deadland also still have gas too. like where the crab raiders are for example. when it rains acid the gas also shows up and kills all the crab raiders cause they have no gas protection. not sure if this was intended but should probably be fixed cause it's killing things in certain areas that have zero protection.

@FieryPhoenix go for it. think ive got an idea for improving performance (not that performance is really a problem but there's a more elegant and precise way to add the weather, i think), when i get the time. maybe we could combine the two mods if i can get it working

Hey, i really adore the idea of your mod, Deadlands really need to be more dangerous than in the base game, but i want to see it spin into slightly another direction. Can i attempt make a mod similar to yours? The similarities are: Gas in deadlands, gasmasks on narko's trap guards and some (different) robots roaming around. And perhaps some more features on top of that.
Even if i get a refuse, i already started working on a holy nation gas mask mesh for training my blender skills, do you need it for your mod?

@Ibram yes but twisters are out of place in the deadlands as there is notoriously no wind so it doesnt really make sense. you can of course mod anything into the game but having giant tornadoes alongside fetid, stagnant fog and gas doesnt really make sense at all. plus one of the challenges of the region is that there is no wind for wind turbine power and it wouldnt feel right adding tornadoes without also adding wind to the biome

Hey so I found a pretty big issue where Okran's Shield and Narko's Trap are being affected by the gas clouds and is killing all the Holy Nation at those places so might wanna adjust some of the gas zones.

This mod makes sense. I would imagine the constant acid rain would make for deadly aersolized acid anyway, plus who knows what gets released from the slow breakdown of other tiny amounts of material being blown in by wind patterns... or industrial machines and who knows what else buried beneath the ground...or traces of contamination from the ancient wars, like the Red Line in France...
