I just want to say this is awesome. Thank you for making this. I spent no less than a dozen hours as a kid trying to get this hog with my ragtag group of friends. This made me remember the "portal" on coagulation in the cave. We'd all shoot the odd triangle texture by the water in an attempt to turn it complete black. Supposedly something was supposed to come out when we finally got it fully black, but I don't remember much more.

ahh nice, that hint on step 3 is all i needed, when the CoD song plays i instantly remembered Arby n the chief, mustve been in one of the episodes lol

This was fun to solve as I loved going back into Headlong to finally be able to unlock the true drivable Golden Warthog! Thank you for the awesome experience. :)

this mod takes me back looking for the mythical golden hog follow 'guides' a blast from the past and being able to finally drive it was great the infection mode was fun you should release that as a stand alone mod

Want to add about last step, there are multiple waves of enemies and i didn't know when or if it was going to end, maybe add an enemy counter or wave counter? Or maybe just use the announcer to let the player know.

Tried it again, step 6 guide doesn't work from right to left, i tried as i did before from left to right but this time not with overshields and it works (not sure if it's that the problem but i'm too lazy to try it again with them).

Just a suggestion about last step, i see that when the infection starts and the screen fades black with the announcer saying "round over" there are no vehicles in the map, which i guess is intended, but if you stay in a vehicle while the screen fades black you can keep it but if you leave the vehicle you are unarmed, honestly it was really difficult to do without vehicle so i "cheated" i guess?

Anyway i completed the mod, was really nice to drive the golden hog.

That's a bug then @Davy, i'm not sure why that's happening. In all of my tests i did that's never happened.

Yeah @Audio, i got a little sound when i flew through it real low, like, hitting the pillar low. so idk of it's a race or something

but from there it's real hard to find a path forward

i Do appreciate that it takes some time and thinking to figure out, just like oldschool easter eggs, i feel like most of us are too impatient to spend an hour trying to figure out what step 3 is XD thats why it's hard

well, for me anyway, ive tried going back to it a couple times but i end up having to leave for work or something and still cant get it lol

Tried again today. The "hint" button just puts a marker on where you are supposed to go, but step 3 just points at that ring thing by the water. Flying a banshee through it doesn't do anything, standing on the pillar doesn't do anything, shooting it doesn't do anything. This is crap

Dont download, literal waste of space on your harddrive. No idea what you have to do. No hints, no clues nothing. Dont bother.

@Davy it's all in order just press the first on to the left then press all the rest left to right

the hint only shows that i have to press the first 3 buttons

I reached the buttons with the skulls names on them, press the first 9 and then i die

Completed it, glad the godenhog is indestructible. I still didn't figure out what the middle and right button do xD

There's a hint button near the Overshield, have you been using that?

"Steps 3 & 5 are updated to more clearly indicate what you need to do" there is no guide anywhere
