THANK YOU ROTTENLEVEL but i reported a bug if i clean up 4 or 5 i see 1 light are off of reactor and the button of down in first arrow button is gone?

Best NPP map on gmod :3 And I have suggestion that when you will be making gm_reactor_v2 you can make like 2 reactors in one facility

@2008toyotacorolla yeah um I’m making a new map that’s not really the second version of gm_reactor, but it’s like properly made instead of this mess. I MIGHT make gm_reactor_v2 eventually if I have enough motivation as I have started making it already.

@zsmallsz_ yeah I spent a long time trying to optimize this dumpster fire of a map because when I started making it, I was so stupid and did stupid level design choices which makes this map unsalvageable, so that's why I'm making a better version

@leon sorry for the late response, I have made a tutorial video loosely explaining everything. Also to answer your request to add stuff, I am working on a version two of the map with a more in-depth reactor mechanic, and I think I'll call it a day on this map. I'll try to get it out within a month or two ;)

@Aimyx Thanks for the suggestions! I might just add like these warning lights all around the places that will light up along with a meltdown accompanied by some sounds too. I will also like add more destruction around the facility maybe :)

Pretty good level.

It felt a lot bigger than I originally thought it was going to feel, lots of corridors, big and small rooms, and all the areas a typical reactor would have, and the use of Black Mesa props fits really well! Especially when mixing it with HL:2 props.

The control room buttons were a bit ambiguous to use, but t hat was until I looked at it in the steam page and then it made sense, and all the controlling and interactivity is sick, a lot of RP could def happen here, like a simpel gamemode of sorts

I give like 100/10

This reminds me of that old Inside Chernobyl map from a few years ago. Yours looks way more detailed though. Good map <3

@ThatCat Glad to hear you liked it:steamhappy:also I happen to be a nerd too when it comes to nuclear power and that’s one of the reasons I made this map. I actually plan on expanding the control system to make it even more detailed and interesting!

Good map! My issues with it tho are the lag that many others mentioned here, and the fact that one of the rooms with the pipes and water is inescapable without noclip. I'd extend the ladder that's present in it to fix this issue

And yeah, it should get optimised.. I downloaded a render distance mod and set everything down all the way and the fps was still 3.

-optimisation (please)
-control room lights off as just like whole complex after meltdown
