Update: I'm even more confused now, your cummins signature gen II mod works without issue in the peterbilt 351

I've confirmed the file names are correct, including the individual engine files, and there are no error messages in the console. I wondered if it could have been interfered with by another mod using your original 3408 sound files so I disabled it and still no luck. I'd ask for any more troubleshooting ideas but I fear this may be above my skill level. Regardless, thank you for your tips!

@scott.norfolk the first step in troubleshooting would be checking for any error in game log/console when you're in engine customization page of the 351, if there isn't any then chances are you might just named the folder wrong.

Hey, I've been trying to get this mod to work with SCR's Peterbilt 351 and I can't seem to figure it out. I changes the zcustom_01 file to the correct name for the truck and it hasn't showed up in the engine menu. Is there anything you could think I'm doing wrong? The mod works great for the SCS 389 and I love the sound but I'd really like to use this in the 351. Any advice is welcome and appreciated, thanks.

How do you access open def for this engine other Slav Jerry engines to add other mod trucks?

@Breegan 3408 doesn't have Jake Brakes and never did. It has a fluid system called Brake saver and it makes a low whine sound.

for some reason the sound of the engine straight up cuts out after a while but jakes can be heard with other engines just fine

Hey SlavJerry, you should make a small compatibility update particularly with regards to the 352 because ever since 1.50, KSW changed the DEF name of his truck to pete352_ksw. You should do that with the other engines that were supposed to be compatible with the 352.

Previous version of a CAT 3408 had better loops I guess. The loops that I mean is when the engine is at a peak it whines like a fast, short waves - Whoouum, Whoouum, Whoouum. Goes like a fast swings or something. Kills my ears to be honest. Exhaust rumble when rpm is going up is cool but the above issues make me shun away from this one.

Also older engines need a firm clatter sound from the hood. Especially mechanical engines like CAT 3408 or 3406BC and not only them though. Really big miss in ATS!

3408's never had jake brakes some had brake savers but thats a oil fed retarder driven off the fly wheel

Tried adding in the new Cascadia, using "freightliner.cascadia2024", followed the instructions for using the CAST system, but these engines do not show up. I have already added the Cummins N14 successfully, so I have no idea why this one isn't working...

I also see that this mod works fine for trucks it already supported, such as the stock 389 and W900
