There are some small slimes that can be poisonous. I don't actually want to cause too much trouble to players, so adding poison slimes with a definite trait is enough.

Maybe you can make slimes sometimes poison adult slug cats so players can be more reckless and then get punished for their mistakes

Like other creature mods, you need to write your own mods to spawn them in the story, otherwise you can only spawn them in the arena.

Do these actually spawn in game? Just wondering

Do slimes spawn naturally? I have the mod installed but haven't seen any despite playing quite a bit

i curb stomped a pink slime with gourmand and it blew up
i had destructive bombs on and it ruined my little room

Rotten or inedible organic matter sounds like the main source of food for Small Slime, but it doesn't sound very easy to implement in the game

and ill give you my idea on what a slimes purpouse is
biological waste recycling
they eat rotton or inedible organic matter and transform it into edible organic matter

An interesting guess, but it's merely a coincidence. I specifically learned C# to create a creature mod. Initially, I started with frogs, but due to the complexity involved, which was challenging for a coding novice, I opted to create slimes, whose animations and mechanisms are relatively simpler. My idea was largely inspired by the text of another pearl, which talked about the genome of a small slug that cleans pipes. It's a surprise for me to see other texts mentioning them.

Is this modification inspired by No Significant Harassment's sarcastic joke where other Iterators have "found" the solution to the Great Problem in a Lizard's skull and mentioned "Slimers" from a pearl that Looks to the Moon reads it for you?

Do you do requested slimes? if so then I got a slime idea for you:
A small purple slime that gives 2 and a half food pips but eating it stuns you for a solid 4 seconds.

I modified the description so that the ancestors of slugcats and slime are no longer related.

could you change the description to say "a close relative to pipe-cleaning slugs" as not everyone believes that the pipe-cleaning slug is the ancestor of the slugcat

additionally slugcats are NOT slugs and the name was picked up from early playtesters and fans
when the "bear"(early scugs were brown) didn't have an actual name
