I think that the reason the two [REPLACE] commands work is because they work by replacing all instances that the previous [FINDLINE] command returns, but in this case if
[FINDLINE]DS_A16 : DS_B03, DS_D02p
is used when DS_D02p doesn't exist without DS+, find returns nothing, so nothing gets replaced. Same story for without DS+.
I could be mistaken on how these commands work though, which is why I tested it again.
The cause is the use of conditionals in the world_DS file under Modify/World/ds, in the [ADDAFTER_1] line, which adds the connections to the beginning of the ROOMS section and triggers the bug that the cache alignment fix patches. My suggestion to remedy this is to replace that line with the following:
[FINDLINE]DS_A16 : DS_B03, DS_A07
[REPLACE]DS_A16 : DS_B03, DS_A07, DS_DP2
[FINDLINE]DS_A16 : DS_B03, DS_D02p
[REPLACE]DS_A16 : DS_B03, DS_D02p, DS_DP2
And then adding the following to the [MERGE] section:
ROOMS
DS_DP2 : DS_DP1, DS_A16
DS_DP1 : GATE_DS_DP, DS_DP2
GATE_DS_DP : DS_DP1, DISCONNECTED : GATE
END ROOMS
Try testing things out yourself of course, but this let me use this mod with or without the cache alignment fix enabled in CRS.
next i'd like to talk about the two screen caps and what we ultimately get. the map has was to much verticality with no indication of what direction you are supposed to go there were way to many times i thought i was meant to go down when you are meant to goto the right making me constantly kill myself on accident. i also have not seen the nice snow section in the cap (which is what i expected the map to mostly be)
lastly the F'ing BELL! dude no it needs to go! you get stuck in one wake rain section and you hear annoyance for like an hour from dying to bubble weavers.
- "rainsong volume cannot be changed without editing the raw file itself" so are you gonna do that?
- fair enough, even if cyans are really cool.
- lineages being canon must just be another inconsistency between the lore of base game and downpour ig. also now that i'm checking the page for drowned pantheon on the rain world mods wiki it's clear the region does not care about consistency with creature spawns lol, there's king vultures and elite scavs for survivor and monk.
regardless, cool region. most of these issues are things i can easily look past. really amazing atmosphere, especially in those rooms around the shaded citadel gate with some pretty tough platforming.
-Rainsong volume cannot be changed without editing the raw file itself, blame RegionKit or CRS or whichever software makes it a thing.
-Strawberries are there because i didnt want to add Cyans to yet another past worldstate region.
Lineages are cannon, videocult has stated that it's a new creature moving in the place of an old one.
why are there strawberry lizards in spearmaster's version of drowned pantheon though? strawberry lizards aren't supposed to exist until saint's campaign (ignoring lineages which are arguably non-canon due to the rampant plot holes and contradictions with them)
- rainsong is WAY TOO LOUD and should not loop. it outright jumpscared me when it started playing, and multiple parts of it are so loud they PEAK THE FUCKING AUDIO and you can barely hear ingame sound effects over it. and i know for a fact it loops because i looked at the youtube upload by ZombieManF where rainsong is only a little over 50 seconds long, yet i timed it by checking a clock and in-game it was playing for over 6 goddamn minutes.
both of these completely ruin the atmosphere rainsong is meant to provide. if you're able to copy stuff from vanilla/downpour regions (idk how region development works) you could copy the code involving the way moon siren is played in waterfront and submerged superstructure, since it's exactly the same as how i assume rainsong is meant to play.
i just brought it up cause i was confused why drowned pantheon has compatibility with them when they're currently broken and unsupported, but evidently the dev of drowned pantheon hasn't encountered issues with them. most people probably haven't reported having issues with drain mites in this region though because most people just don't have drain mites enabled.
But please, keep acting like I'm the unreasonable one.
How unhinged.

Thanks so much for porting it, I have been itching to play it since forever now! :D
I tried to play it as spearmaster but there was almost 9 red spiders in only 1 screen room
