oh @cattette yes I did, to be clear this was my first time map modding so I copied over everything to do with the Eu4 map file: so yeah in hindsight not the best idea. Let me get around soon (tm) to deleting all the pointless files I carried over to make the mod smaller.

I think the issue is the map changes: I basically copied over the entire map file and not changed many of them, so frankly that's probably where its at.

Because it has so much junk in it. For some reason you've included a copy of every single random new world tile (466 Mb), the heightmap (11 Mb), the river map (11 Mb) and many more raster files you probably didn't edit. If all you did was add a province you don't need to include more than the 33 Mb province map and the associated province .txt files.
