@MaxiundMicky Thanks for the quick answer - your mod does something lacking in all the other 4.0 leader mods I have checked out regarding focus...I have had way too many governors and scientists with "Councillor" stuff etc. :steamfacepalm:

Not sure if it’s intentional for the SINGLE effect but the Hive Genetic Destiny Trait for Industrialist Officials, “Accelerated Drone Spawning”, only gives +10%/5% Upkeep for Spawning Drones. From the sound of the name and description though, it sounds like it should also have a Spawning Drone efficiency or increased organic pop growth?

I have added an event that, if you play a Gestalt empire, will trigger once one of your leaders reaches level 8 (I think, or 7.. whatever the destiny level is, i dont have a memory). It will automatically give your leader the ascension path trait for their subclass, as there is only one ascension trait per subsclass for each ascension path.

Tl;dr
Gestalt leader level 8 -> Event pop up -> Get ascension destiny trait

Just to check, that issue with the hives not getting traits, has that been sorted? I notice the exclaimation about it was removed from description but I just wanted to double check for the hive gene leader traits.

By the way the modularity trait that gives you more trait picks/points for officials is broken it has ROBO instead of MACHINE at the start of the line.

@Hydra slowly working through it, but am having to deal with a funeral this weekend so probably during the next week there will be an update to just make it compatible with 4.0, and then another one a bit later this month or next month where I will try to add ascension traits for the new paths and generally do a bit of quality update

That's weird that hives are locked out from their ascension traits. I recall getting bio ascension traits for hives. But thank you for the fix!

I already rolled out a band-aid fix for machines, by making them all veteran traits instead of destiny as I forgot gestalt couldnt take destiny.... and I didnt really notice until now.

That does however mean that Hive empires will still be locked out. Thats something Ill fix in 4.0

I'm getting the other traits from this mod as machine, like the non ascension stuff like Universal Capital Resource, etc. So it's not like I'm not getting ANY traits for leaders from this mod. Just did a modular test thing and, like the nanite ascension, the only Ascension Traits that appeared were the Broad Leader ones like the leader xp one and the one that gives leaders more choosable traits. No specific official, scientist or commander traits tho for the respective veterans.

Are most of the machine ascension traits locked to machine individuals? I’ve been playing as several machine intelligences and the only ascension leader traits I get are broad ones like Swarm Identity which allows leader revival. I’ve played as Hive Gene ascension before and have gotten gene leader traits and council/node traits.

@Cyph the Terrible ah and also, Erudite is not required for the genetic traits. I intentionally left that out as I wanted to keep it universally unlocked on ascension completion as opposed to being potentially missed for genetics

@Cyph the Terrible The ascension traits are bound to finishing the ascension tradition. Once you finished the ascension tree, you should see the traits available for leader level-up

Just to be clear, are the ascension leader traits unlocked on ascension or require specific species traits? Like if I go Lithoid and can only use Erudite for gene ascension, I still get the gene ascension? And do I get psionic and cybernetic, alongside genetic leader traits if I use a all ascension mod?

I love this mod as I am a Hive Mind and a genetic ascension enjoyer and this mod has Genetic Leader traits for my hive council nodes and my Hive Industrialist Officials. Many thanks to you for this. I also enjoy the added compat with gigas and ACOT, as the supertensile and DM/DE leader traits help a fair bit.

Hey MaxiundMicky, excited to be using this mod. I just noticed that you do a full file override for the file 03_scripted_triggers_paragon. However, this is not necessary. You can, and should, create a new file (for example, called "zz_ELT_03_scripted_triggers_paragon.txt"). In the new file, you can put only the keys you overwrite (has_any_governor_focus & has_scientist_focus).

The reason for this is because it makes it more compatible with other mods that override different things in the original file. Most files in Stellaris do not require a full file override, and you can instead overwrite by individual key so that mods are more compatible with each other. I recommend joining the Stellaris modding den discord, lots of great information there.
