Improved Input Config can quickly and easily add keys for mods. Therefore, improved input configuration is currently needed.

The one issue I have with this is improved input config being needed instead of having the input config be in the remix menu.
the reason being is that Improved Input Config is actually terrible, at least if you're playing in controller mode, as it only allows binds on the controller, preventing keyboard keys from being used for input. It also removes the "any" option from the input menu, which also furthers the previous issue. On top of that, there's been various instances of people's input just breaking in general with Improved Input Config when in controller mode.
