It's probably doable, but it's harder than editing either of the mods. Someone would have to create a compatibility submod.
noxovac93 10 hours ago
anyway to make this compatable with the Make Character Unique mod?
SonOfMars Nov 6 @ 3:18am
Thanks a lot!
Amulet of Kings  [author] Nov 6 @ 3:11am
It requires some start_pos file editing, so it's not as easy as editing the files in the mod. You would have to delete all ancestors of pharaoh Merneptah and add Seti II as the dynasty heir in the start_pos_dynasties table.
SonOfMars Nov 6 @ 3:00am
Thanks for quick answer. Then maybe there's a way to keep just the part of the mod where only Ramses has the family tree? Maybe i should just delete some files? I just really enjoy roleplaying.
Amulet of Kings  [author] Nov 6 @ 1:16am
Thanks for you words! Unfortunately, I had to disable the default faction and dynasty heirs, since it messed up the inheritance of deceased faction leaders. You can anyway appoint a scion/heir in the family tree menu.
SonOfMars Nov 6 @ 12:10am
hi, great mod, really love it. But why aren't there any historical heirs by default with this mod? For example, Seti 2, in vanilla he's the heir to the throne, but with the mod, there's no heir. Is there a way to fix this?
Henry Hawkwood Nov 2 @ 10:58am
Thanks for explaining.
Amulet of Kings  [author] Oct 31 @ 12:26pm
He is already married to his wife Aegiale
Henry Hawkwood Oct 30 @ 10:19pm
As part of a this mod, since he is a general in Agamemnon's faction? Generals ought to he marriage candidates in the game.
Amulet of Kings  [author] Oct 29 @ 6:15am
Unfortunately, I can't create submods for all requested features :steamsad:
Henry Hawkwood Oct 29 @ 5:07am
Hey, is there any chance you could make Diomedes a possible marriage candidate for Agamemnon's daughters? Thanks :p
Amulet of Kings  [author] Oct 17 @ 1:48pm
I couldn't identify a mod that could cause this issue, the one to colonise Amarna is the only one that I can think about. I have started a new campaign with my mods loaded and conquered the Damascus province with Damascus faction. The victory condition was unlocked normally, so it's not one of my mods.

One possible workaround to solve the bug: Place an army outside the city, gift the city to a neighbouring faction (the other faction must border the city) and reconquer it on the same turn. I think that garrison troops are disbanded when you gift settlements, so it should be easy to conquer.
Yabgu Nizam Pasha Oct 17 @ 12:33pm
Another question :) Please take a look at the mod list again; I need some support info.

I conquered my starting province the mini campaign victory didn’t trigger. When I checked the list, it shows that Damascus hasn’t been conquered in the victory conditions.

What kind of mod could cause an error like this?
Yabgu Nizam Pasha Oct 10 @ 6:51am
You’re a legend, man! One of those three mods was the culprit. I unsubbed and now everything works fine.
Amulet of Kings  [author] Oct 10 @ 6:28am
45 active mods! I'm always amazed by people who are willing to take those chances :steammocking:

Jokes aside, it's hard to say just from the collection. My first guess is that there's a compatibility issue with a mod that also edits characters, such as:
-Unique Bodyguard for Unique Generals
-Capture Unique Characters
-Make Character Unique.No script version

There are two possibilities: If the crash occurs due to a mod conflict, changing the mod order might solve it. The other possibility is that the mods have corrupted the save file, in this case reloading an earlier save would be the only solution.

Usually, I would offer to check the save file, but I'm not activating all those mods :steamfacepalm: As a last resort, you can activate the "Script debug activator" mod and check what the log file in the game directory says after the game crashes.
Yabgu Nizam Pasha Oct 10 @ 5:45am
Can you check my collection? The series that I’ve spent hours playing — and that my viewers have been following with great interest — has crashed. In the Gods tab, the ‘favored warriors of the gods’ screen doesn’t change. Additionally, when I click on the family tree, the game crashes. After hundreds of turns, these two screens suddenly started causing issues. I can still end turns and fight battles, but whenever I try to interact with either of these two screens, the game breaks

Thank you for your words! I've added the link to the translation!

Hi Amulet of Kings!
Amazing work on this mod! I really enjoy it.
To make it more accessible for the Chinese player base, I've created a complete Chinese localization. It's available here: 网站链接
Would you consider adding a link to it in your mod description? It would be a huge help for Chinese players looking for it.
Thanks for your time and for creating such a great mod!
Amulet of Kings  [author] Sep 17 @ 12:21pm
Yeah go ahead. The correct way to make them compatible would be to delete the death dilemma script from my mod, use ODD as a submod and add the relevant trait to the characters killed on turn 1. I don't want to do it myself for two reasons: I don't want to risk breaking a script and I woldn't like to rely on mods outside the Bibliotheca Historica collection.
Omnplayer Sep 16 @ 2:04pm
It's used by the forts reinforce all battles and the tower ambushers mod. I could also make a submod that just combines both scripts if that's okay
Amulet of Kings  [author] Sep 16 @ 10:03am
What do you want to use the mod for? The Override Death Dilemmas (ODD) mod doesn't do anything by itself, it's used by other mods that spawn and kill characters. The easiest option is to load ODD on top of expanded family trees. This will maintain the features of ODD, but you will get some death notifications on turn 1.
Omnplayer Sep 15 @ 7:14pm
Would you consider adding support for this mod? https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3312220625
It should just be an added line into the death dilemma script
Amulet of Kings  [author] Sep 4 @ 1:20pm
Hi, being a startpos conflict, a bugfix is not enough, the mods need a compatibility submod to work with each other. Expanded Family Trees already has a 12-building slot submod (Radious compatibility submod) if you are interested. Other than that, this mod is designed to work with Expanded Pantheons, which changes Aegean cult center locations.
Luke Danger Sep 4 @ 3:59am
This is almost certainly due to both mods being a startpos edit, but the 10 Build slots for Mesopotamian and Aegean cult centers bugfix mod (associated with the community bug fix patch) conflicts with this one and I'm guessing with Daughters of Ares as well.

No idea if you want to include the bugfix into this or not, but I wanted to mention it just in case.

Mandalorian Paladin Sep 1 @ 6:23pm
ok that worked (The load order was wrong). thank you very much!
Amulet of Kings  [author] Sep 1 @ 11:48am
The load order can be found in the description, if you are only using Expanded Pantheons and Expanded Family Trees, Expanded Pantheons should be on top. Try unsubscribing and resubscribing to the mods. If the problem persists, maybe a complete reinstall could help, I've never heard about anyone having this issue.
Mandalorian Paladin Aug 31 @ 5:01pm
Is there a specific load order that I somehow missed? I ask because only Aggamemnon, his wife, and their son is appearing in the Mycenae family tree. I am only running the expanded pantheon mod and started a new game.
Amulet of Kings  [author] Aug 21 @ 11:37pm
Ah, that's unfortunate, I agree that Ashur-Nirari III should be younger. The mod is in maintenance mode, unfortunately I'm only updating it to fix bugs :steamsad:, but I'll change it if there is another major update.
Firral Aug 21 @ 10:19pm
Hello. I noticed that Ashur-Nadin-Apli doesn't have a wife, he is 30 years old, and yet he has a son, Ashur-Nirari III, who is 18 years old. There's an age discrepancy here. No, I understand that "technically" it's possible to become a father at 12... but... Perhaps it would be better to lower the son's age to, for example, 14? Could you do that?
Amulet of Kings  [author] Aug 10 @ 11:31pm
Wow, the mod has reached 15k subscribers and has become the 5th most subscribed mod of Pharaoh! Thank you for your support!
Desomega Aug 2 @ 12:10pm
I was already following the load order, but I additionally have now added the pantheon mod as per the description, and have still been experiencing the issue. However, through testing I have managed to work around it, starting by destroying the Ugarit faction. Curiously, once I did that, a few turns later the crashing restarted but on Alashiya's (nation on eastern cyprus) turn. The only connection between the two that I could see is that Alashiya had moved north and occupied taurus and the surrounding settlements after I razed them when they belonged to Ugarit.

This suggests to me that perhaps it has to do with that area? Maybe specifically syrian nations occupying it? As the territories have since been reoccupied by hittite factions after I reloaded to a much earlier save and killed Alashiya as well as Ugarit.

Regardless, with the death of those two factions I have not had any further crashes.
Amulet of Kings  [author] Aug 1 @ 1:25pm
At first glance I don't see where the compatibility issue comes from. Are you using the load order recommended in the description? And where have you placed the Radious community bug fix patch? The best place is probably below Expanded Family Trees and above Radious. If you want you can send me your save file to look into the issue.
Desomega Aug 1 @ 11:26am
Hello, I'm getting a crash consistently in every campaign on Ugarit's end turn. I imagine the issue is with either the family trees mod, or its compatch with radious.

Only mods are Radious part 1 and 2, radious community bug fix patch, family tree mod, and family tree mod-radious compatch. Game just hangs when it gets to Ugarit in the end turn order, always between the 28-40 turn range. Just leaving a comment in case you have time to check it out!

45 mods! Some people just like to take chances :steammocking:
Yabgu Nizam Pasha Jul 31 @ 2:30pm
I found a solution. I put this mod at the top of the mod list. The game didn't crash. That means it conflicts with another mod in the list. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3334029146

Turn 3, game crashing at oddseus turn.

Amulet of Kings  [author] Jul 28 @ 8:57am
I think so, I haven't received any comment about them not being compatible.
EisenKreutzer Jul 28 @ 7:14am
Are your mods compatible with the Community Bug Fix mod?
Amulet of Kings  [author] Jul 7 @ 9:21am
This is a known bug without a solution (see bugs megathread). The mod is designed to be played without the Avatar of the Gods skin option
BLUESTORM2112 Jul 7 @ 9:05am
I think the mod may be treating Suppiluliuma is unmarried and removing his ability to have heirs because of it. It shows him as both his own heir and scion. I'm using the avatar skin. Under royal family he is shown as the head of the family with avatar skin, (with no wife) and down the bottom of the tree, as his own heir with his original skin, (and with his wife and daughter). I haven't had a single new child 12 turns in, and have now married a second wife that shows up as his wife at the head of the royal family tree (next to the one with the avatar skin).

Would this mod treating him as unmarried under royal tree effect births at all?
EnumaEllis Jul 6 @ 2:29am
Can you make a compatch for Agony as well?
Amulet of Kings  [author] Jul 3 @ 1:40am
@Redneck I have checked the ancillary bug, but I don't know why it's happening. It doesn't have a custom model, so it should behave as a generic character.
Amulet of Kings  [author] Jul 2 @ 5:51am
Hi, this is a known bug without a solution. Don't worry, it only happens in the autosave generated when creating a new campaign. Use regular saves and you should be fine.
peterwansui Jul 2 @ 2:16am
Hi, After I start a new game for the first time and exit, when I load this save, a bunch of family members will appear together on the map, and the oldest person in the family tree will replace the original faction leader. The problem seems to arise in factions such as Troy and the Amazon in the Aegean Sea, while the original Egyptian and Hittite factions did not have this issue. Is this normal for the mod?
Amulet of Kings  [author] Jun 30 @ 10:27am
@Redneck Thanks, I'll check it out.

@mg478467 Probably the mod did not load correctly. Are you using any other mods? Just in case, you have started a new campaign right?

@Buuwack That's fine, the mod is killing the faction leader's ancestors :steammocking:
Buuwack~¬! Jun 30 @ 6:30am
This mod caused the Hatti campaign to start with a whole bunch of NPCs dying????? and i have to click through like 10 death dilemmas or so
mg478467 Jun 30 @ 4:43am
i dont see any other person than agamemnon and his wife and son in the family tree
Redneck Jun 26 @ 10:55pm
@Amulet of Kings

When you put armor on Peleus (Phthia faction) his model changes, and doesn't revert back if you take the armor off. Not sure if this was intended or not.
Amulet of Kings  [author] Jun 9 @ 11:17pm
Sí, así está bien. Además, si quieres puedes usar el submod the traducción al castellano (Expanded Family Trees [Castellano]), que debería ir encima de todos los demás.
