The body of the slugcat seems to glitch out for player 2 if you are using the split screen mod

a5 is one of the downwards facing face frames, but yea i can't really describe it accurately but OOH it hits different, you'll notice it immediately

sprites in general are difficult to get, non-slugcat sprites xd like creating it from the spot can be a bit challenging especially when you want it to fit in like with other sprites

the perspective on the new head and face sprites is genuinely my favorite thing, a5 in particular looks REALLY good now

redoing the base head for the revamp took me like two years to figure out. turns out manually offsetting all the frames is invaluable

@Auro alot of times its sort of due to specific sprite positions xd its kinda hard to get it right
but what you did originally was very impressive!

but they take like foreverrrrrr because i want it to be as crisp as vanilla in terms of animation

ya i plan to make a few more skin mods, primarily ones encouraging mix & match with a variety of parts. i kinda noticed super early on that there wasn't enough variety in the non-standard slugcat department.

@Auro oh? other dms projects? sry my bad i havent really looked into dms since a long while recently!

its okay tho Im actually been also really busy with the new arena menu rework for meadow so either way i may have not enough motivation to do this currently. I may revisit this sometime soon but to me this is considered done enough to skip this

if my bucket list wasn't full to the brim with dms projects i'd love to assist you with that ^^

I figured out a way to make Watcher kinda work!! the model for the body only goes missing if you change the hips, and its colour also matches the hips if you change them. so I put the Watcher (blue) skin on everything except the hips, and then made the colour of them #141A38. then I changed the colour of the legs to #A3B0D1, so that it blends better with the hips. this is a temporary solution until DMS figures out how to work with Watcher, but it works :)

yes I just realized this is something to bring up with the DMS creator, as it has to do with how DMS replaces the slugcats' body parts. deleted my comment hoping nobody had noticed lol

@Salamander Sharp this happens because watcher's body uses a different shader than all the other slugcats so sadly it does not support textures

finally i found a mod that have the same level of detail as the auto's curated slugcats

the watcher has a giant white square for where their neck is supposed to be
