No, I like the rename! I think it fits quite well, and I like how it's the original/internal name for the region.

Does this mod also rename it to Lost City? I noticed it isn't called Metropolis while playing as the Curator.

@May♥may what i kinda meant for the edit rooms is that to walk around and to room to without grapple worm because unfortunately grapple saint i think is outdated in versions

Yes, ID drones for normal slugcats would be super cool! Is far as I know it's all hardcoded though, so I have no idea how to set it up... But I have thought about it before!

I have played through metropolis as survivor a few times, I promise it's navigable! You just need to use grapple worms and squidcadas (don't forget that you can starve-fly in a pinch, but that's not mandatory)

Funny you mention that, I was just recently working on an update to Bitter Aerie for normal slugs and I was thinking that next I would add a connection in metro to FP, so you read my mind!

3 suggestions i have if you can somehow do so


-make citzen id drones for everyone spawning in random scavenger storage room

-edit rooms to make metro navigatable for everyone

-connect metropolis to five pebbles or other region

agreed, it's just hard to justify since metropolis is so isolated, and the region itself is just a dead-end for any slug that isn't Artificer. As far as I'm aware the only custom region that connects is scorched district!

i kinda wish there were atleast more regions connecting to metropolis that would be honestly kinda cool like a very long pipe system leading into subterraian

there's already a metropolis worldstate for hunter, gourmand, survivor, and monk though. it's used in expedition, since they can start in that region

artificer might be chilling at her throne enjoying the free scavenger meat so maybe just put an npc version with a chieftain mask pinned on and make them have chieftain behaviors?

You're right, I could put in the effort to make the implementation a little less sloppy and a little more artificer friendly... I probably won't get around to it for a while as I'm working on some other projects currently. But yes, I will fix these issues eventually!

@May♥may but that's the problem. this mod changes metropolis in a way that makes it work for scugs after artificer, but its changes override artificer's version even though it's possible not to. it would be easier to just add those features than to manually disable/enable the mod.

I could do that, but this mod is intended for "normal" slugcats (i.e. survivor). Arti already has access to metropolis, so this mod really wouldn't add anything significant for them.

@May♥may you could make separate "settings" files for artificer and have them be the default ones for the scavenger toll rooms. replace the "settings" at the end with "settings-artificer" to make the changes only apply to artificer, and you can do something similar with the spawns by including "(Artificer)" at the start to make them not apply to every scug.

I really suggest you do not use this mod while playing artificer; it removes all scavenger spawns which will surely cause issues.

I think the drone idea is cool, maybe survivor can find one in an out-of-the-way region like Drainage or Pipeyard to give an incentive for exploring?

i actually think it works for every scug after artificer to be able to enter metropolis. she already unlocked the gate with her drone, so it makes no sense for the gate to still be locked in later campaigns.
