Finally War decided to build second Beacon himself so I had 4 turns to march south in his land to prevent it. Very, very interesting it was. I managed to come 1-2 turn before lighting up when my friend distracted his armies north a little bit. After that I was quite relaxing and Palading fighting with last ( Necro ) almost himself.
You did a really good map so we liked it very very much. Keep going!
Visually there is a lack of variation with the larger plains, some alternate textures would help here - like mushroom patches etc. Also i found a lack of varied heights, it all felt very flat to me.
I too found the challenge a little lacking and to get the most out of this map I had to make the -all emperor- enemies allied to each other on a second playthrough as they fought amoungst each other more often than campaigning against us. However the layout and design of the map made for a very tense and interesting map.
But really, im nit picking solely on the fact that it looked so good, damn near perfect!
Great job Nemesis, looking forward to see what you do next. :)
I rate this 4/5, due to a slight lack of design and scripted challenge.
I would imagine that the battles get pretty tough up on those top settings.
We still enjoyed the level. It's refreshing to see some purpose built 2-player coop stuff since the regular game only arrives with one scenario and the random maps can sometimes be a little too random.
