From what I recall, there was an option some where to add another layer. As far as I know you can add several. But again, this was created something like 5 years ago... so I'm not sure if things have changed :)

I've been poking around a lot of places, and can't seem to find anywhere information on how to make a map with more than two layers. Some of the vanilla scenarios even have three layers! Is there an option somewhere I've missed, or does it actually require a mod for the editor or something?

Hello, Recently played with a friend and had a lot of good moments. We started underground, so AIs were placed in the best position (Imperor, 2x4). When they had built 2 Unity Beacons (Dreadnought + Druid) my friend (human in the lava land) suffered from massive revolutions across his domain. My units were "missing" due to bad mood. I had to march up right to the protected area to destroy the beacons with my mages (Sorcerer), while my friend (Paladin) was blocking entrance down. Very tactical turns it was many times.

Finally War decided to build second Beacon himself so I had 4 turns to march south in his land to prevent it. Very, very interesting it was. I managed to come 1-2 turn before lighting up when my friend distracted his armies north a little bit. After that I was quite relaxing and Palading fighting with last ( Necro ) almost himself.

You did a really good map so we liked it very very much. Keep going!

As far as I'm aware you just click the subscribe button and it should be under the scenarios in your game menu. I made this almost 2 years ago, so I'm not sure if they eventually time out and stop being subscribable? I don't even have the game installed as I've replaced my hard drive since it was created. Which also might effect it? Sorry I can't be more help, if it's not working let me know and I can just take it down. Though I'm not even sure how to do that any more.

One of the best looking, well made and designed maps on the workshop. I really love the use of water, implemented in a few ways that i hadnt thought of yet. Very good job!

Visually there is a lack of variation with the larger plains, some alternate textures would help here - like mushroom patches etc. Also i found a lack of varied heights, it all felt very flat to me.

I too found the challenge a little lacking and to get the most out of this map I had to make the -all emperor- enemies allied to each other on a second playthrough as they fought amoungst each other more often than campaigning against us. However the layout and design of the map made for a very tense and interesting map.

But really, im nit picking solely on the fact that it looked so good, damn near perfect!
Great job Nemesis, looking forward to see what you do next. :)

I rate this 4/5, due to a slight lack of design and scripted challenge.

:) Yeah I wish there was a way to keep the difficulty on a lower setting but picking the AI aggression or mood. Kind of like what they did with Rome 2, have an expansionist AI, defensive AI, mixed / random, etc.
I would imagine that the battles get pretty tough up on those top settings.

Higher difficulty certainly makes the npc a lot better. NEVER FIGHT AN EMPEROR WARLORD, he is destroying me and a friend of mine right now.

Aye that is precisely the issue we found. We wanted to play cooperatively, but more often than not the only thing we could do to aid each other would be to cast the city buff spells on each other's cities and unfortunately quite a few of them can only be cast on your own cities.

We just hated the distance you start from one another, we'd have to travel the continent just to group up and dual battle. This way too, we'd each send out a few armies together and always land them 1 tile from one another, and fight battles that way. When you're at a distance the opportunity doesn't present it self too often we found.

We'll give it another go on King and see what happens.

We still enjoyed the level. It's refreshing to see some purpose built 2-player coop stuff since the regular game only arrives with one scenario and the random maps can sometimes be a little too random.

Hmmm... we found they built up massive armies and expanded rapidly. Not sure, maybe try a difficulty higher? Not sure I can alter their aggressiveness in the editor.

Played through the scenario with a friend with all the AI set to lord difficulty. We found that the AI were in no way aggressive enough and always stayed defensive to the point that even when we took the last cities they were still trying to defend with very low tier and low experience units.
