@corviidae The issue with the smg and carbine not having sounds is down to steam not downloading the full set of soundbanks for you. Its not something I can exactly control, because I don't get a say in how steam servers send data to users from the workshop, but it should be fixable by hopefully unsubscribing and resubscribing to the mod.

I will preface this with the bad, as there is much less of it than the good and I'd prefer you leave this review with kind words than the minor criticisms I do have.

The only issues I have with this mod are (mostly) things that entirely out of your control, like the AI being a little confused at being in places they weren't ever meant to be in, or the inability to play as a female marine like I had asked before. The thing that does need bugfixing, though, are that the carbine and odst smg have no audio files.

Now, onto the plentiful good.

I finished the mod, and it was a pretty fun time. I think my favorite mission was probably the one where you see noble team fly into the spire. (forget what it's called in mod, and in vanilla.) It was really cool to be a part of battles you only saw in the distance in the vanilla campaign.

The way going backwards in regular campaign missions made it feel new was really interesting. You have done creative work without needing to make much custom content, and the custom content there was, was also high-quality. My favorite instance of this was probably the New Alexandria evac mission, where the falcon picks you up where you'd normally do bullfrog jumping.

Amazing mod, good work.
Keep it up if this is what you love doing.

@RainbowStarMan This mod has full co-op compatibility. It sounds like you're having some kind of desync issues. I'd recommend as a starter you both un-subscribe, then resubscribe to the mod.

Hey there, this mod has been a very fun experience where I even wanted to share with friends. Unfortunately we are unable to play campaign together and get a Co-op campaign error. Will this mod have compability with multiplayer campaign? Or may this be something on our end

This is definitely the best Infantry mod you've made for the Halo games. The new custom levels are cooler than some of the ones in the base game, and love the third person. All the custom weapons are cool and fit in lore, and other cool stuff. Play this mod:steamthumbsup:

damn, amazing mod, well done! Only suggestion is at the very start of Finale you can walk the wrong way and nothing stops you until like 15 minutes of walking when a door won't open. Honestly I think all you need to do to fix this is make it so you start the mission next to the warthogs facing the direction you're intended to go, rather than how it is now. Other than that, this was fantastic!

Its clear that the creator had put a lot of love and effort into this mod, and I am very happy that he made it so its technically a story of its own and not "just normal Reach but you play as a marine". Felt like a unique experience. Although I must say that often times the difficulty comes not from being a normal guy against the Covenant but from the mod throwing an insane amount of enemies at the player.

@clam It was possible, but I didn't like how the Elite felt as heavy as a Marine, so I opted to use proper player animations for the elites. It makes them feel distinct.

absolutely love this mod, probably the best of its kind. is there any way to give the elite their A.I melee attacks instead of the player melee? sorta like how the marines still have their kick animation, i'd love to kick people as the elite

it is a really cool mod, I find it disappointing it was made around a single difficulty as it reaches Left 4 Dead 2 custom map conundrums with that. Even so it is extremely painful on Heroic even but is still possible you just have to move a snails pace and all will be fine

Still love the mod though, gives a proper perspective of how it felt for marines during a losing battle when they did not have plot armor spartans nearby or even side character spartans nearby to reinforce them. It truly shows just how much they were losing outside of Noble Teams perspective more so than before

Custom cut scenes as well are really cool, from my experience it is not common and that is awesome, huge props to that!! Plus adding extra weaponry is really cool too, it gives an entirely fresh feel while still being not over the top!

Incredible mod! It's easy to tell the developer put a lot of time into making this. Not bug free but you won't hear me complain. Every mission is unique and very fun.

Excellent mod. This reminds me of when I tried making my own Marine Firefight mod back in 2021, I was using Assembly back then since official mod tools weren't made yet. Funnily enough I used the same two maps, Installation 04 and Unearthed, for the first version I'm pretty sure. The second update was gonna add Holdout as well as Forge world, as I was experimenting on a multiplayer component to it, but back then when an update came out for MCC every mod basically broke, and that happened right as Senior year was about to happen, and well that was put to the wayside. I love seeing your work not just in the Firefight but in the campaign as well. Also, Call of Duty 2 Captain Price was a nice touch.

this mod was absolutely incredible!! one of the best mods ive played in a long while, it did break a couple spots but killing myself usually fixed it no problem when an enemy got flung into space or just deleted lol. i would love to see more mods like this !:steamthumbsup::cucumber:

Just want to say that the last two missions were absolutely goated. Changing fate was unfathomably satisfying, and the way the mechanics worked as a marine in the last level is just chefs kiss - I spawned with an MA5B and a CE Magnum, had a flashlight instead of VISR (since Halo CE marines had flashlights) and didn't have any regenerating health (because CE marines didn't have regenerating health). It was amazing. Additionally, changing the army trooper voices to CE marine voices for the AI soldiers was inspired.

this mod has the most schizo enemy placements ive ever seen

like 2 brutes 3 jackals 1 grunt 2 elites 4 bugs. Then the room immediately after is 1 brute 4 grunts 1 elite 2 jackals and like just S P A M!

it goes from random groups to just 20 enemies spawning behind a box.

I played heroic first play through then legendary after. And while I understand you made the mod with Normal in mind please make the enemy placements more uniform like how the vanilla game does it. 4-7 grunts 2-4 jackals 1-3 elites/1-5 brutes. So it feels like I'm fighting an army and not a forge remake of the campaign but backwards.

I love this mod and had so much fun playing it through on legendary. It's slow paced and incredibly difficult. My only gripes is the enemies not being squads and just massive groups of random stuff. And them spawning right in front of you.

I gotta say, I love this mod, I often go back and just replay it over and over again.

It's definitely refreshing, don't get me wrong base reach is really good, but a custom campaign as a marine? Plus a fight with Innies? Plus Easter eggs?

This could be it's own game at this rate, but I'm content with it being a mod.

P.S. I heard there's a secret Ending for Level 13, but I've yet to find it. I NEED A HINT, ANYTHING

Just finished the whole mod yesterday. And planning on doing a Legendary play through. Overall REALLY GOOD. "Makes you feel like infantry during Reach." Playing as an Elite was a great twist.

Needs a few flashing way points for dumb players like me that forget where to go.

Why do I have to search till the ends of the earth to try an find info that should be in the description? I'm looking at all the available info in front of me and it says nothing about how to change appearance. Why make all the effort to not explain it. Secondly I have looked for your "setup notice" and haven't found anything, its cool, I'll just play the mod and disregard all the work and models the 20+ people have worked on to make this mod.
