Couple of notes - you'll see that the map pack 2 assets are a bit lower resolution than the previous ones. That's just to do with the quality of the scans I have available. I'll improve once I have better ones.
I also corrected a bunch of small bugs - the one where the hand limit university does not replenish in Marine Worlds is proving tricky though, so that one isn't fixed yet, but I'll look further into it whenever I have time. It is not game breaking so hopefully doesn't cause too many problems.
Have fun!
@Spearhead thanks for reporting, I'll look into that.
Fyi I'm travelling until halloween so it will have to wait until then.
@Nilsi - This is what the rulebook says about this:
`In the rare case that you drew 3 cards of the same action type, draw 1 more random Action card of another action type. You must use that one and 1 of the 3 Action cards you drew initially.`
You can find this deck in the top left, directly up from the "Pass Cards" button - Alternate Action Cards should be the third deck from the left on the horizontal divider.
@MrFancyTrex - Which ones?
Glad you enjoy the mod!
1, Yellow player gets an extra money during startup.
2, When multiple players are present during setup, half of them only get a single Final Scoring card.
3, Sometimes Refill Display will say Flip Display even when the game has started. I will get back to you about how to reproduce this one, but also seems to be related to multiple players.
BTW – top work on the mod. It is fantastic. Thank you for all your time and effort.
My suggestions would be to just ban Silver Lake outright in your group (it's definitely an outlier, and I don't think other top performing maps have such a large delta - Rescue Station, Outdoor Areas, Park Restaurant are all solidly in the "good" territory), or to use the flipsides (Map A) if you want everyone to have an easier time.
v4.0 is purely the work of Informal_Geek and he should get all the credit for it, he's been amazing with this!
A full list of changes is available in the Notebook in game under "Releases".
Have fun!
If that doesn't fix it then the asset for the table is definitely borked, so I'll look into recovering that.
Mind confirming whether the issue is still happening or not? From the logs you've shared it looks like the table was failing to load. I've not had that happen to me, on my side it seems to be working correctly - perhaps Steam's assets failed to load the table for a while for whatever reason.
Let me know if it happens again and I'll have a look.
Error in Script (Global) function <onLoad.: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
Error in Script (Global) function <onSave>: chunk_4:(1927,2-32): bad argument #1 to '!!next_i!!' (table expected, got nil) <10>
"Error in Script (Global) function <onLoad>: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
Error in Script (Global) function <onSave>: chunk_4: (1924,2-32): bad argument #1 to '!!next_i!!' (table expected, got nul)"
Grimnebulin was the original author of this scripted version, and I just took over when it broke and he was away. I've only done a few fixes to get the broken things working, but I've not done any actual asset changes or fiddled with the contents.
That being said, I'll see what I can do. I do have a day job and it takes a fair bit of time, so it might take a bit, but when I next have a slow weekend I'll look at updating those.
Have a good one!
First up, would you mind swapping the rulebook out with it's 1.2 revision? Here's a link to it: https://capstone-games.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Ark-Nova-Rulebook.pdf
Second one, would you consider adding the official 1a-8a map variants that the designers Mathias and Bastian created for BGA, and also made available for download use?

Lastly, would you consider bringing in Icarus's one page player aid file?

@Findsthelost - I can't reproduce. Do you get any specific error message? Just started a few games and they worked fine.
@lin135711 - No worries, welcome to TTS :) The maps are in a little brown bag on the edge of the able, right above the Aquarium tiles. They're easy to miss as the bag color is very similar to the color of the wood on the table. If you look a straight line up from the Large Aquarium you should be able to spot them. If you're still struggling poke me and I'll send you a screenshot. Enjoy playing!
@anneisaway - can you expand a bit on what tiles aren't snapping correctly? Make sure you have clicked "Start Game" and the maps have become large enough to fit the whole playing board - otherwise their dimensions will be off. I've not encountered snapping problems so far, but if you do, you can always rotate tiles by hovering them and pressing Q/E on your keyboard (or another key if you've changed the binding for this - Q/E are the defaults for rotation), which can help when the snapping is slightly off.
