Beautiful mod

Found a typo in the Creek Removal event from the start of the game. The flavor text says "-for they were yet to young to participate..." the 'to' should be 'too'

Hey could you make a thread that is just listing the changes in each update?
시아츠 Nov 30 @ 7:53pm
I’ve submitted a new pull request for the updated Korean translation. Please take a look.
Hamarhofud Nov 30 @ 6:57pm
I'm stuck basically in a US where the slave trade is restored in all states, the abolitionist movement no longer exists, and yet there is still "a house divided" maakes 0 sense,
Hamarhofud Nov 30 @ 6:42pm
Hey, love this mod but I have massive issue, I can't complete A House Divided on the slavery side, because I easily suppress the abolitionist movement. You have 3 options, ban slavery and removal journal entry, have slavers revolt and remove entry, have abolitionists revolt and remove entry. My problem is I easily suppress the abolitionists into non-existence, therefore they never revolt, I restore the slave trade (in landowner playthrough), and now I'm stuck with the journal entry. Please add a completion option (with its own buffs and debuffs or whatever) to remove the journal entry if you remove never have civil war and the slavers reattain societla control. I'm stuck now.

@시아츠 feel free to submit translations as pull requests on github https://github.com/CaelReader/Hail--Columbia-
시아츠 Nov 29 @ 6:10pm
Hello Developer, I’ve taken over from the previous Korean translator and have completed the Korean translation for this mod 100%. I’d like to have it implemented in the mod—where should I send the translation files?

@Fixiwee you can download previous versions of the mod from github: https://github.com/CaelReader/Hail--Columbia-
Fixiwee Nov 21 @ 8:12am
Hey there, love the mod! I want to start a new USA run but I am afraid that the upcoming spain update will mess up my run. Is it possible to reroll the mod to the current version after 11th Dez?
CaelReader  [author] Nov 11 @ 5:48pm
@kindum looks like there's already a couple languages of Hail Columbia as projects on there. I can't really verify the quality of any translation efforts but feel free to set up a German one if you like.
kindum Nov 11 @ 12:34pm
Did you ever think about making a paratranz project for Hail Columbia? (i for example could supoort german translation)
CaelReader  [author] Nov 5 @ 1:02pm
@ChincillaZoo£23 I assume any politics overhaul mod is going to overwrite the party definitions which will break all the HC-specific setup for the american parties.
ChincillaZoo£23 Nov 5 @ 11:21am
Hey Cael, are there any politics overhaul mods that are compatible with Hail Columbia?
CaelReader  [author] Nov 5 @ 7:11am
@Coalsack yes Spanish-American war stuff is in the docket for future content.

I basically figure that the adam-onis border would not actually hold up under western settlement, and I consider province editing out of scope for the mod.
Coalsack Nov 4 @ 10:35pm
Two things, first, do you have plans for content regarding the Spanish-American war in the mid-late game (1898) and the potential anexion of Cuba, Dominana and the Philippines? Specially since the new DLC seemigly will add some Spanish content.

Second, once the main USA and CSA content is done, do you plan to make some "alternate" focuses. Say, if USA loses the Mexican-American war, to focus it attention on securing the Pacific Northwest and/or the Caribbean, the transcontinental railway changing focuses based on the first scenario, instead of going to, California, as in the default scenario, going to Cascadia/Oregon.

On the same vein of alternate scenario, one thing I always overlap with your mod is this thing https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3280805066 to get the Adams-Onis border from 1819-1846 right. But the mod is abandoned afaik, so I think you could alter the provinces shape around Oklahoma, Colorado, Wyoming and Kansas to adjust the border.
vaguestrategy Nov 4 @ 1:15pm
Just want to say that as a fan of American history, this mod is awesome. Reminds me a lot of Vic 2 GFM's flavor content for America (which I really enjoyed). Great work!
CaelReader  [author] Oct 27 @ 8:46am
@Hamarhofud Only once the USA is content complete
Hamarhofud Oct 26 @ 7:06pm
When can we expect to get CSA victory flavor content?
trupizza Oct 26 @ 6:17am
@CaelReader that is what I figured. I will just add my own modifiers/AI strategies myself lol.

Also another item regarding the Civil War. Sometimes the pro-slavery secession movement wont take its historical CSA states which is fine. However the Reconstruction event that happens when the ACW JE is completed automatically sets all states in the Dixie strategic region as unincorporated and reincorporates all border states. This could screw you over if a state like Texas or Virginia never secedes: it still gets set to unincorporated and you have to reincorporate it again for no reason.

The way I fixed this is changing the ACW start event to create a no-effect modifier “Seceded State” and apply to every single CSA state. Then when the USA wins, the JE victory event sets every state with that modifier to unincorporated, removes the modifier, and adds the Unreconstructed State modifier. Dynamic readmission.

i stayed up way too late playing this mod and was tired all day at work. it was worth it. amazing mod, thank you!
CaelReader  [author] Oct 25 @ 10:34pm
@trupizza the core game mechanics just have no way to make it viable without obscene buffs like what the Seminole get, other than that theres not much to be done when the game lets you drop 30 battalions into the Great Plains at will
trupizza Oct 25 @ 8:26pm
I think it may be worth finding some way to strengthen the largest native tribal armies like the Great Sioux Nation and Comancheria. I know they get the native warbands modifier which boosts their defense, but that doesn't help much when their armies are 1 battalion of irregular infantry. Maybe they could start with more barracks, or an AI strategy that prioritizes building them. Just something to make the tribes a little more formidable, so that signing the peace treaties with them in the Indian Wars JE is actually worth it. Every time I've played USA I've found no reason to even bother with being diplomatic toward the Indians because I can flatten them in 3 seconds in a war.

But if they had larger armies and a higher kill rate, and maybe some other effects to my country overall, it would at least make diplomacy a viable alternative to outright obliteration.
Human Marine Oct 23 @ 2:46pm
This adds some companies for the US right? I think there's some overlap with the More Unique Companies mod, I've seen two Coca-Cola, DuPont and Singer.

There's no conflicts as far as i can tell, no real problems, but it's weird seeing two. I don't know if there's anything to be done about it but thought I'd bring it up at least.
BeheadThoseWhoInsultKane Oct 23 @ 7:47am
IMO you can't model opening japan without excessive and overbearing scripting in current game systems. It probably will be done as a part of japan immersion pack of sort.
CaelReader  [author] Oct 19 @ 1:38pm
current GBR AI seems to open up Japan in the 50s every game anyway
CaelReader  [author] Oct 19 @ 1:37pm
@Calvin "Freckle" McMurray not at the moment
Calvin "Freckle" McMurray Oct 19 @ 11:35am
Is there a event/chain for the Perry expedition or have I just been missing it every game?
Nick97 Oct 17 @ 9:29am
thanks!
CaelReader  [author] Oct 17 @ 9:23am
yes, 1.10 mods work exactly the same in 1.11
Nick97 Oct 17 @ 9:18am
hello, sorry dumb question, as the new update was only related to the new music i can use the mod without any worries in 1.11 right?
CaelReader  [author] Oct 16 @ 1:53pm
@Nick Name mexico is actually stronger than in real life in the mod because there's none of the internal mexican strife represented in-game
Nick Name Oct 16 @ 1:25pm
I've played with this dlc many times, but Mexico is too weak.
did you already mentioned at the top of the description, that this is for USA ?
I know. That's why I'm here to delete this DLC.

@Calvin "Freckle" McMurray Not just FDR, any Progressive president (and some other ideologies) can choose to run for more terms
Calvin "Freckle" McMurray Oct 16 @ 1:25am
Is there a mechanic that allows FDR to ignore the Washington precedent?
CaelReader  [author] Oct 15 @ 8:52am
@Dildo Shwaggins There is no such JE in this mod
Dildo Shwaggins Oct 15 @ 1:11am
Anyone know how to stop the Rise of the US Steel Corporation? It just ruins my economy, whats the journal entry id for it so i can remove it from the files, i cant seem to find it
CaelReader  [author] Oct 14 @ 9:58pm
@WillJelle it's in common/on_actions/usfp_on_actions.txt
WillJelle Oct 14 @ 8:31pm
Does anyone know where the code for washington precedent is located? I'm using the realism mod and it has a bug where the event pops whenever an election happen regardless if the leader has had a second or is on second term. I just wanna see if I can fix it but know where the code is. Thanks for help.
Dr.Kitten Oct 14 @ 12:18pm
Such a great update to an already amazing mod. You have utilized victoria 3's mechanics better than Paradox has. Paradox would happily sell this content from this mod as a dlc for 20 dollars. thanks for putting in the time
CaelReader  [author] Oct 14 @ 9:17am
@big tiddy goth gf seems so, will fix
big tiddy goth gf Oct 13 @ 9:48pm
Shouldn't the Cheyenne-Arapaho be Algonquian culture, not Siouan?
CaelReader  [author] Oct 13 @ 4:49pm
@ENFP they work fine when the trigger is checking for true conditions, but the inverted UI of the "show_as_unavailable" event options tend to fail beyond the first layer of data.
ENFP Oct 13 @ 4:35pm
Oh, wow, I didn't realize V3 tooltips hid that much information. Good to know. Thanks for the info.
CaelReader  [author] Oct 13 @ 4:19pm
@ENFP the tooltips for unavailable event options like that are pretty incomplete unfortunately. You cannot have an anti-slavery movement above 15% support and cannot have a pro-slavery movement above 20% radicalism (yes, this is basically impossible in practice)
