@WarbossSlavik Hi! Yes, I've contacted devs already and that statement addressing the situation is what I'm allowed to share in public. I've also heard your team was behind why Akupara considered updating Russian/Korean translation in the first place, so my gratitude.
I'm currently pondering what'd be the best action to improve the official translation further. (Because, they still didn't translate Outer Rim and wrote it in English and so on)

Hey, @topicular, I'm one of the authors of Better Russian Translation mod. I just wanted to say, that we’ve got the same treatment as you did: Russian localizers in many instances basically stole our work word for word for this new update, without crediting or even notifying us. And ironically the end result of their ”work” still turned out pretty bad. We regard this as an act of direct and disrespectful plagiarism, and already contacted the devs. I strongly suggest you to do the same thing.

이번 레인월드 1.10.4 업뎃에서 Akupara 측에서 이 한국어 유저 번역을 참고했는데, 저희한테 미리 연락하는 걸 잊었다고 합니다.
새 공식 번역이 절충안인지라 미흡한 부분이 남아있어서 유저 번역은 일단 계속 올려두겠습니다.

Seems like Akupara referred our Korean user translation for 1.10.4 Korean translation update but they forgot to contact us beforehand.
However, the new official translation has many compromises, so this translation fix patch will remain public.

Thank you so much for the info! It's a pain that I only found this mod after recording my entire playthrough. I might see what I can do about capturing the dialogue again in a separate playthrough or something. Maybe compile it into its own separate video for my friend. Anyways that's my issue- thank you so much for your effort! I really appreciate it!

This is my favourite game ever so I'll probably get a chance to experience your translation for myself some day once I improve my Korean enough!

Untranslated region names, The manner of speech is not localized so the echo talking like a child is lost in translation (that's considered a *narrative twist at the ending* in Korean translation), many poor word choices, or sometimes, outright skipping words in the original text, removing the point or joke.

Overall, the official Korean translation makes The Watcher much more cryptic than the English version, and many dialogues sound nonsense.

Uh, this is very specific to me I guess, but I've been recording a playthroughs of Rain World in Korean for my friend who's a native Korean speaker, I'm still learning but I'm super beginner. I've been playing the Watcher in English while using the save backups to go back and record dialogue in Korean to edit into video later.

I literally just finished recording The Watcher today and decided to look up mods now that I'm done.

..what exactly needed fixing? Worried that everything I recorded was horrible now lol
