Changes were extensive so there is no-zero chance for some minor bugs. Please report 🙏

I put in some code over the last day or so to allow separating helmets and gas masks/NVG. I'll probably have it fully tested in-game by the end of the weekend. I can send it to you to add to More Armors, or with your permission, I can publish an update to the "Remove MORE Paddings and Plates" mod that will allow separating combined helmets. Cheers!
I had considered making something much more simple to mess with the armor system and differentiating the vest options as acting as one step lower in classification I.E. a Medium vest is light and a heavy vest is Medium to make up for the no arm protection. However that left the standard flak jacket in the dust. Should it be kept as is as the worst armor, or would giving it a minor bonus so it could compete with the kevlar vest and light armor jacket slightly.
E.g. if you have a GasMask in the invetory you can then right click on a Helmet and then combine it with a GasMask. The same way you would combine a vest with ceramic plates.
FED usually stands for "federal"
FDE usually stands for "flat dark earth"
Added Camo Flak Armor
Added NV Deathsquad Helmet (with recepie)
small nitpick but i noticed you spelled Kevlar wrong in your mod description
Kevlar versions needs more work but I am almost happy with Light and heavy
And I added rust/tear/color-lose overlays to Poor versions
*Only images have changed
I count on your feedback
Similar gear colors cause pain to my eyes
Any idea how this will work with an existing save?
changed colors to be more in line with real-world items.
Feedback is welcome
It is an over-simplification, but it seems most plausible.
Oldest/poorest color to newest/best color...
Green-Poor (oldest)
Black-Regular
Brown-Solid (newest)
Middle set is vanilla.
Anything "mil spec" is the lowest-quality-to-price-ratio gear that is basically functional/acceptable. ie: mass produced and/or older style. Olive-Drab armor & gear has been around well over +80 years, so being older it is therefore most likely to be equivalent to your "Poor Quality".
FDE (flat dark-earth..aka brown) is a much more modern color for military gear. It's quite common to see it in the civilian market at the moment. FDE is today thought of superior to olive as a base color for military gear. Most new military weapons and gear are some shade of flat brown Generally this would be perceived the newest/best kit. Therefore most likely to be your "Well Crafted".
Black is probably somewhere in between. It started being popular as a special forces/military color probably from the 1970's onwards. I'd suggest this is the "Standard" color. Not the oldest, not the newest.
LMK what do you think

That would fit the Poor and Solid division.
I will for sure keep vanilla as it is and they are camo armors in there so it seems to eleminate cammo colors.
I can see making the Poor variant more FDE
But I am not sire about Solid one. I can maki it Olive/Woodland but I am not sure if that would suggest it is a better version than Vanilla.
Black seems like a decent choice.
I am not into military eq so I need some good suggestioms to make it well ;)
One of 3 common military colors seen in the real world:-
Khaki (desert)
Camo (jungle/woodland/bush)
Olive Drab (generic)
We do also see:-
Blue (press & emergency services)
FDE (mostly civilian/pmc)
Black (sof & police)
As much as I greatly admire your work on this mod, I regrettably unsubbed due to the "red" as it broke my immersion.
@Óðinn what color should it be then?
But red armor maybe not so much
There is no option for Poor into normal or normal into Solid.
