I spent 20 minutes to figure out that the map is bugged, thanks a lot for the garbage

I just wanted to add that, this was really well done for a first room. One of the best first time rooms I've ever seen. You got visuals down pat and had a good variety in the types of puzzles. Can't wait to see what you bring next!

@Pineapple Man: There's a walkthrough! But did you solve the puzzle with the rudders on the ground? Click on the candle next to the globe on the little table to the left to get that one started, solving it will give you the solution to the skulls part

How do I continue past the skulls? I might just be confused but I can't figure out where to set the skulls or the hook + monoscope.

No you’re not dumb! There’s a learning curve to the editor. I highly suggest joining the pine discord server. We all help each other out with tips and tricks with troubleshooting and learning new things.

Ok I'm dumb, I just made the chest undraggable and made the key its child lol
Edward Feb 5, 2024 @ 6:47pm
hey, so we 'shook' the chest tonight and the key did fall out... :)
BrushstrokeOfChaos Feb 1, 2024 @ 12:04pm
The problem with the key clipping through the chest is that the chest is draggable and the key is getting left behind. Make the key a child of the chest, and make the chest an obstacle. This should fix it. If this still doesn't work, you can add a visibility activator the key and disable it on start. Then make another visibility activator that enables when the lock is unlocked.

UPDATED: Hopefully fixed the bug where the key was clipping through the chest; Added an extra puzzle in the last room to make the solution of the final puzzle a bit more fun to get

You have to add the two cannons that you get from solving the waterfall to the one written on the rock to the right (which says "port") and click only those three, then the trapdoor in the middle of the ship lifts revealing the code to open the chest
Alice_inBlackParade Jan 31, 2024 @ 3:09pm
Oh, the key definitely clipped then. I just moved the crate and it was sitting there on the sand, I didn't even think that it could be unintentional.
So i assume we were supposed to move cannons accordingly to the message on the waterfall with parts of the ship mentioned? What would happen once done correctly? (I thought we did, so either nothing happen or we were wrong)

@Brush$troke: The cannon marked chest contains the key to get into the crates puzzle room, if you managed to get the key without opening it maybe it clipped out? You open it by solving the cannon pattern that reveals the code. And the key items were meant to be red herrings for the crates puzzle, but I made the solution for it too easily available so they're useless lol

But yes, as it was my first room I spent so long figuring out the mechanics that I ended up spending more time on visuals than puzzles, I'll probably update it by adding an extra puzzle to get the solution to the crates and fixing the chest issue. The next room I'll make is definitely gonna be smaller in size so I can focus more on the mechanics.

I played with Brush$troke, so I won't repeat the same feedback, but I just wanted to add that I really enjoyed finding little trinkets like the tiny rubber ducky. I like the visual side of the room and would love to see it more developed puzzle-wise :)

This room is very cool, but it feels unfinished. We did the shells, map coordinate lock and crates puzzle and it was over (finish was triggered). Felt very odd and quick. Yet we had other items marked as keys unused, and a cannon marked chest with no understanding how to get it open.
