It can still be very difficult to interfaith marry with this mod which is what I wanted, but from testing it is possible in most situations. If your a count and try to marry a emperors daughter or some who hates you that's obviously not going to work no matter what it's going to be too many negative modifiers. I wanted it to be realistic.
wdym by investing into cultural or religious acceptance? i know theres one trad that gives +10 acceptance but is there more outside of legacies?
- cleaned up some code so the mod is more compatible
Thank you 🤗
On the other hand, the 4 wives was a more broken rule, since men can get unlimited slave partners, rulers often had much more than 4 partners, and hundreds of children. I feel that should be allowed in the game rather that strict 4.
2) Muslim men can only marry a Christian or Jewish woman IF she is believing and practicing, but there are times where it is not advised. The ideal marriage is between a Muslim man and a Muslim woman.
3) I don't where where the other faiths sit on this matter, so I only offer only the Islamic perspective. This sort of a mod and the claims you make regarding why you found the need to make it from our perspective is damaging and completely disregards the theological issues,
Looks like a fantastic mod though
Also the Persian Muslims were marrying many Indian women and using them as concubines or second wifes. There was many Arab/Indian mixed people in that area because of this for example Afghanistan was filled with Arab/Indian mixed people.
For the most part Christians definitely married who they wanted with out judgment. They probably hung who ever had issues with who the High King marries. Christians definitely interfaith married pagans in Europe and in Africa alot more then the muslims did.
The -1000 modifier seems to be there just to increase difficulty rather then actual Medieval Realism.
-1000 breaks realism for me because interfaith marriages weren't obsolete in the Middle Ages as the game makes it seem. It did happen every once in a while. Many kings found pretty women who they fell in love with who were a different religion.
