In an ideal scenario 'this stat = #$' would define a material, instead of an arbitrary number (a number of wools have the same price but different stats), stats that define wealth would have to be made with a bunch of testing, I guess it's possible
I'm 50/50 on making more Balance mods, if anything I'd target flooring and/or shelves
I mean this version (it use less plants from the main mods)
5.005 Silver daily (Rice)
2.915 Silver daily (Potatoes)
Potatoes produce 0.58251227946% the amount of Silver Rice would
With mod:
1.729 Silver daily (Rice)
1.749 Silver daily (Potatoes)
Potatoes produce 101.17318538% the amount of Silver Rice would
Agrihand, Slaves, Children.
Colonists aren't the only way to harvest.
Blight is a completely random event, you may never have a single blight, and it will likely only be in one hydroponics area.
You will want to level plants on at least one pawn, and set them to harvest to avoid botching and have a higher yield bonus.
Make sure to calculate Real growth days, Fertility, and Yield bonus.
4.55 Rice and 2.65 Potatoes a day vanilla would net 5.005 and 2.9154 Silver a day.
A 58.25% Difference in Silver a day isn't balanced, you could argue the nutrition gain is balanced, however all nutrition is intended to be directly turned into meals, to gain the nutrition bonus from cooking and to avoid the 2% food poisoning chance.
Even more so since they added vegetarian meals.
I find it hard to understand how 25 Lavish meals (or 67 Simple meals) are equivalent to equipping a pawn with a charge rifle.
English doesn't seem to be your first language as you're fumbling through your words.
FYI: Rice and potatoes has the same market value yes, but potatoes yield more resources. Rice has 6 yield for 3(or 5.5) days of growing time. It is 11 yield and 5.8(or 10.7) growing time for potatoes. Almost the same for yield/time. Spamming rice takes much effort(basically colonists' time) but less chance to lose them to something like blight.
Players these days just don't get how important colonist time is. Spamming rice is basically having infinite idle time to guarantee getting some food. Other plants are usually better unless you are playing as tribe or you want to level your plants for some reason.
