Yea, though daily I render contrition before Blender, NifSkope, and their infinite mysteries, sorely do I repent ever having taking the model/texture of the venerable Wooden Sword of auld in vain. My whole being-- nay, my very soul!-- aches and toils in unhappy remembrance that I, in my foolish, callous youth, e'er deigned take up the Burden of Mods for so profane a folly, mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa . Verily do I yearn to revisit the precious summer of happy innocence, the final reprieve before Creation Kit's autumn of debauched depravity...
Oh, friendly warning: if nobody specifies what is meant by wooden spells and wooden armor, I might just have to get creative.
I made a quick mock-up of a stahlrim-style wooden sword. Left a pic up there in case you were curious. The nulled normal map keeps the blade smooth-lookin', but it looks like you were right to skip the stahlrim and advocate the dragonbone. Only trouble with the wooden Dragonbone Sword is that, with the ebony handle left as-is, it looks like a regular Dragonbone Sword. With mahogany, it looks exactly like a regular bloody Dragonbone Sword.
Thanks for your input, Ecolyиe. If you like, I could delete all your comments here. No charge. (<-fragment consider revising)
PS I love the profile pic. Iconic!
