Turns out this was a one-off bug and I just needed to restart the mission to fix it.

Great mission! However, I seem to be having an issue where my troopers can't leave the spawn room? The blastdoor stays closed and I can't open it.

The default liftoff/takeoff key in men of war is spacebar whilst in direct control. When you see the LAAT change altitude, click anywhere on the map to move it.
