Hello Doctrine, unfortunately this is how the game works after the Cyrenaica update: you need to go back to the main menu and import your core to be able to select your general traits

For some reason I don't get to choose/keep any traits when going from 1943 alt to 1944 alt. It works fine if I start a new 1944 alt campaign.

U can just activate that mod in addition if u want those units, just make sure to have this one lowest in the mod list in the mod-manager of the game to avoid conflicts.

Adding units like that, using an existing modell is an easy task and has been done a lot already.
some examples:
- infantry units 41 and 45 do not exist in the unmodded game. they come from PC1 remake, AOredone or SoE.
- SdKfz215/16 as transport for the heavy infantry does not exist in the base game.
- high altitude for fighterplanes to not get killed by small AAs while dogfighting.


There is lots of stuff like that already in the mod.

I really hope that they add this tool.. There is so many staff like VK 16.02, planned Tiger II with better engine and 10.5 gun, or BV.155, etc..

sadly adding unit-modells is not possible if u want to publish via steam-workshop atm, we need the mod tools that have been promised after release of the base game.
since they are not here yet, i doubt something like that is in the making, but we can still hope, if nothing else.

adding "new" units with existing moddels is in comparison very easy, but that is a question only Andrea69 can answer.

it happened to me in 1940 Brighton, sinking the british navy gave me a Fw190A as a gift unit, unfortunately it started raining the next day and my plane never got a chance to rebase at an airfield (even tho it was flying right above an airfield)

very annoying issue, getting an aircraft as a gift unit the day before it rains/snows will insta kill your gift because it cant move to an airfield... is there anything that can be done to prevent this? aside from completing the elite objective earlier/later ofc

Hi, I really enjoy this MOD ... great work! My only concern is that the maps towards the end get to big ... I think PC2 just cant handle it since my computer is quite good but it starts to lag and round times take forever which is why I quit i think in the last 3 maps of 1946 ... great maps but just not playable. You might consider doing the new maps in the rerework a litlle bit smaller ... just give the enemey more stuff to keep it hard ^^ started again and I am in 1939 in your rerework and it plays great!

Hi, in Sevastopol scenario no Gustav is offered for purchase. Prestige well above the mentioned 5k. Goliatths are on the map from start, but that's it. Anything I need to trigger to get the Gustav gun?

Hello, I have a problem in the Antequera mission. I have cleared the airports at Antequera and got the bombers. But the bombers are missing exactly one hex of flight range, so I can't get to the Jaime I.
I can't take the airports near Malaga in the last six turns because there's a bunker on every hex. Is that supposed to be the case, or is it not intentional?

not sure how to do this...if i load a save i have no commander perks...if i start a new campaign i lose my core...how do i do the start the campaign from main menu and import the core?

Going directly from one campaign to the next without taking the detour through the main menu was never advisable since the release of the AO series. All kinds of issues could happen.
It seems they tried to fix this with the latest update. U experienced the results. Sadly, we have no acces to those mechanics and are unable to do something about it.
Just start the campaign from the main menu with core import and u´ll be fine.

I have noticed when continuing directly from the AO39 Redone Campaign to the AO40 Redone Campaign, I will loose all Commanders Traits. So I had to start the AO40 Campaign from the main Menu to select the Commanders Traits.

Grab a safegame from the scenario before. between the scenarios change difficulty to general, do Herrlingen and after change it back to ur setting.
This AO scenario can´t compute the 5 extra turns u get when on lower diff settings.

I'm not sure if it is just my game or not but I've gotten to the mission Herrlingen with Rommel and the whole June Plot part of the story and for some reason the mission never ends once I reach the 6/6 turn the game just stays as if the ai is playing its turn for a while. I'm not sure what to do at this point or if anyone has found this bug as well. But really this whole add on is amazing in adding to all of the game but I would recommended re updating The air mission for Stalingrad in the 1942 campaign but apart from Herrlingen and Bombing of Stalingrad it really is an amazing mod

Hello easylife, as I wrote in the campaign notes that you can read in the Update 12.12.24 thread, "the bonus objective of killing zero Czech units has been limited only to the Czech border garrisons, easily recognizable because they are auxiliary units labeled as 'CA Border Units'". So you can safely destroy that bunker to get the elite objective

One question about the 1939 Redone scenario Czechoslovakia. Ho do I acomplish the elite objective, capture the Hex with a fortification, without destroying it (bonus objective) ?

Hello Pega, currently I am working on the new review of AO41, just started the Russian scenarios, but I do not have a timeline yet as it is quite a long campaign... surely you can expect that a lot of maps will be very different from current version (and with elite objectives as previous campaigns)

Hello jira77 and thanks for your comments. About the Vltava river, unfortunately I used the Italian version of its name, will be fixed in next update. In Ebro the enemy waves are random, so it is not really predictable on which side of the map the scenario will be simpler. Finally, I do agree about pictures, those with different style will be changed in future versions

The Von Thoma picture has a very different style compared to all the other portraits. I’m not sure how hero images are handled, but for example, the one on the wiki looks much more fitting (https://cs.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilhelm_von_Thoma) . Alternatively, applying a black-and-white filter to the one you used could also help match the style better.

In general, authentic black-and-white photos fit the game much better, and I really appreciate that you didn’t choose to colorize the images—those black-and-white ones you use are great and really enhance the atmosphere.

The Extended Redone version is great—you’re doing an amazing job! While playing, I came across three small details, so take them as suggestions for cosmetic improvements:

Czechoslovakia (39):
The major river is not called "Moldava," but "Vltava" or "Moldau" (Czech: Vltava, English/German: The/Die Moldau).

Battle of Ebro (SCW):
Great scenario—much more fun than the vanilla version! However, it wouldn’t hurt to add a hint in the briefing that if the general wants to achieve the bonus/elite objectives, he needs to counterattack fairly quickly. Also, breaking through in the north is easier than in the south. Without this information, the first playthrough feels a bit like trial and error, and testing the battle first and then adapting for the second run isn’t very realistic.
