I completed the room and major puzzle. The only thing I could not find was the top left piece of the 9 piece puzzle. Otherwise, it was enjoyable.

Thanks for your kind words all ! =D

I love how you have worked in different puzzles together with the Einstein riddle to gradually open up the part 2! I love the design of the rooms to be very different with cheeky humor and even different music! The logic is there and no guess work is needed. The part with the book cases to help you work it out is perfect! Very nicely done room!

I enjoyed this room although one thing was quite frustrating: I didn't see the items in the trash when I got in. If there are lots of loose items that aren't clues or keys in an escape room, I throw them all in the trash. There were TONS of loose useless items. By the time I learned from this comment section to check the trash,I had over 130 items in the trash and I was having a hard time getting through it all to find the items so I just restarted the game instead. So, if you can make most of the loose, useless items stationary so they can't be picked up (unless something is hidden behind them), that would be helpful. The logic puzzle is really doable. I made a logic chart (elimination grid) on paper and then the puzzle was straightforward. (I used to do these all the time as a kid. I never noticed the solve room at the end with the items. And there was a lot of walking, yes, and this room took time, but overall it was a fun challenge. Thanks!

This room took work but the solve was satisfying. I must know where the statue in the photo at the end is located

This shit is so fucking hard. I understand it says Einstein Street but this shit was nearly impossible. I had a shit time, would not recommend.

einstein better watch his FUCKING back

I do agree the room had spaces that were bigger than they should have been, given how much walking you do. Also, given how late in the game you start solving the riddle portion, having to carry all those items around just bloats inventory and distracts from the fact that each house has a task that need to be solved in order to unlock the next house. Just make those items available to the player once the "solve room" is open, which also eliminates the need to give the rules from the beginning. This gives the false notion that we will have to use those soon. Instead, make it more clear that we need to solve each individual house's task instead.

Oh, and the 1-15 buttons at the "solve room" that you've put to help cross out rules you don't need anymore, are broken! 1 through 8/9 are one "line" higher than they should be.

Overall okay room, imo it would have been better if it was just the riddle portion.

I think people have the misconception that they have to use the Einstein Riddle clues right away, when in reality this is "part 2" of this room. The first part is making your way through each house in order to unlock the next, and also unlock the items you will need to place later. It's mostly linear, aside from a couple things that will be picked up and used in a different house.

After that, it's literally just an Einstein riddle. It is very solvable, I was able to do it without checking hitboxes, or hints. It's pure process of elimination.
Nightsmaiden Dec 18, 2023 @ 10:00pm
@Ikaari Nope! I will try a new load. Thanks for the answer!
Alice_inBlackParade Dec 14, 2023 @ 11:08am
Pretty nice room, I enjoyed it. My only suggestion would be to make it smaller/less spacious. Walking around takes foreeeeever, and you really don't need such a huge room for one sofa and a tv for example
Ikaari  [author] Dec 11, 2023 @ 12:14pm
@nightsmaiden That's weird, I guess you are talking about house 3, you don't see any Keypad in the bedroom ? =O
Maybe just a random bug...

@Thorjbolt Things are dissapearing while heading out of a house, and all appear when you enter into a house ^^
For the shovel, did you see a broom in house 4 ? May be useful
Nightsmaiden Dec 11, 2023 @ 5:53am
I am having a different problem than it seems most people did. I am not sure if something is not rendering for me or what, but I cannot find a single thing that wants a number code in the movie lover's room . I have been looking for about twenty minutes for just that. No clue how the game is past that point. Guidance would be appreciated.
Thorjbolt Dec 11, 2023 @ 2:13am
also i will be happy if expert test this and post on the youtube
Thorjbolt Dec 11, 2023 @ 2:07am
this is kinda alot of confusion and i did checked all trash and what supposed to do with shovel? it keep glitching and dissapearing things.... so far we made to black beard puzzle but missing 3 pieces i hope fix this and update soon asap
Ksawa Dec 9, 2023 @ 6:00am
Love it. One of the hardest Einstein riddle I had the pleasure of solving. I solve it after the third approach with the help of excel but it was still fun.
Ikaari  [author] Dec 4, 2023 @ 8:23pm
I will make some changes like :

- less " traps "
- More explanation about " order/position of houses "
Thanks all for commenting and helping the room ! =D
Chewey Dec 4, 2023 @ 7:01pm
Are the rooms supposed to be lined up next to each other like the actual einstein's riddle? If so, the room placement does not match some puzzle statements, can cause a lot of confusion in position of room. Concept is great if the execution could follow it.
k8sparrot Dec 4, 2023 @ 5:48pm
I think this room is really good - the issues that @Kaotic raised are the only problem.I agree if it was just the reflection room it would not have been so hard...the geographic placement of the room caused me a LOT of confusion and frankly I wouldn't have made it without the walkthrough. So for all the doubters, this room CAN be done if you ignore the layout of the apartments and focus on the numbers of the rooms.
Heart Dec 4, 2023 @ 5:20pm
Ikaari, I should've said "author" of this room rather than "developer." ;)
Kaotic Dec 4, 2023 @ 5:05pm
These 3 spoiler tagged things below this section are the biggest issues I had with the room. This is because most escape rooms tend to use the layouts and items in the rooms as a way to help convey the puzzle, whereas in your map, they were all red herrings . I hope this helps make it a little clearer why I commented in the first place.

Mistook room 5 as the center room bc its in the middle of the hallway lol.
3 houses have plants that line up with the ones in the guidelines, but they aren't the ones that have those plants in the solution. Cactus on table, white plant on table, palm fronds on bed
Bird statue hint was hard bc for me, 1 and 2 live across from each other, not next to each other. They're neighbors for sure, but 1 lives next to 3, 2 lives next to 4 kind of thing.

If it was just the reflection room, I would've been done in 20 minutes.
NotARingRat Dec 4, 2023 @ 3:33pm
@k8sparrot check the trash can in one of the rooms - you may not have put it there, one of the trash cans starts with items in it already
Ikaari  [author] Dec 4, 2023 @ 3:23pm
I totally get it Heart xD Thanks a lot for your comment ^^
Heart Dec 4, 2023 @ 2:47pm
I also wanted to say that, at one point I was so stumped that I decided to try the "brute force" thing others mentioned. However, I found out that several objects worked in one or more of the other locations also, so it still left me wondering. I restarted the game about three times just to have everything back into their original positions. Our of all of the Escape Simulator rooms I've played, community and original rooms, I spent the longest on this quest.
Heart Dec 4, 2023 @ 2:40pm
WHEW!!! I played this a few hours over the last few days by myself, and was just stumped!! I FINALLY figured out that there is a misconception about which house is the "CENTRAL" house. Once I gave that a whirl it all fell into place. I really enjoyed the game and hope there will be others like it, as long as the developer didn't get discouraged too. Now that I understand the mind of the developer maybe other rooms will make more sense for me. LOL However, I'm glad THAT is over. I was in that neighboorhood so much that I laid claim to one of the houses like I lived there. LOL
Ikaari  [author] Dec 4, 2023 @ 12:33pm
Demonianism, I can't help you more. Everytime, there is only one possibility. One thing confirm another one, etc etc, and that way, if you looked my hint in order, you can know for sure with hint 14. For real, you look upset but chill a bit, there is a logic, and other people found it, I can assure you. For this enigma, I only changed name but the logic is the SAME as Einstein designed it. It's not magic, only logic and hard thinking.
Demonianism Dec 4, 2023 @ 12:28pm
I went through the rest of the logic puzzle and it's just as bad. Look, if you want to make puzzles like this then you need a beta tester or something.

Hint 14 will help determine where the statues will go? HOW?! We don't know where the orange sofa goes!

I think, because you already know the answer of the puzzle it looks all very logical to YOU, but to someone who comes to the puzzle with nothing they are going to be left very frustrated because they don't have the bits they need to even start.
Demonianism Dec 4, 2023 @ 12:21pm
Okay, I'm going to stop your smug superiority right now. There is NO HINT as to where the pony statue, creepy statue, or the steampunk hat goes making the logic #'s 15 and 2 completely impossible to solve without outside help.

If hint 15 posited a pony SKETCH rather than statue then fine, but the rest of the logic puzzle clearly does NOT take into account any environmental hints, so if the sketch is supposed to be a hint, it fails spectacularly.
JLR004 Dec 4, 2023 @ 9:20am
suggestion since you can put multiple items on the shelves, can you add 5 of each item to the workroom so we can do process of elimination while going through the clues? That would have been really useful
Ikaari  [author] Dec 4, 2023 @ 3:40am
I added hint, step by step for the final enigma, to prove that no need brute force =D and still, if you think that... I'm sorry for you =)
Chewey Dec 4, 2023 @ 12:08am
yea just brute force the hitbox, then use the hint given
k8sparrot Dec 3, 2023 @ 4:44pm
I cannot find the 9th puzzle piece, the bottom right one. Help please?
Ikaari  [author] Dec 3, 2023 @ 2:19pm
But I'm gonna make more hints for you to understand the development ^^ but for real, it's solvable without help, just hard thinking
Ikaari  [author] Dec 3, 2023 @ 12:20pm
So KRob91481 did it with magic ? =D
Sorry but if you really paid attention, those 3 hints help but it's ok =D
Demonianism Dec 3, 2023 @ 9:04am
@Ikaari
Going to have to agree with @Mommy Milkers and @Kaotic.

This is not really solvable without brute force. The three hints you mention aren't helpful in solving the other hints. In fact, the only hint that actually leads to an item being placed is #13. But after that there is no mention of the bird statue to lead us on.

And frankly, if the environments aren't hints themselves...this is not possible to solve.
Ikaari  [author] Dec 3, 2023 @ 1:15am
The thing is, you need to think with the help of 15 hints. 3 Hint are garanteed to begin and then, one thing lead to another, you can know for sure what item goes where, no need to " brute force ". But I know that map isn't for anyone, but my goal was to make people think. Einstein said " 2% of people will do this ". And with him, no brute force possible.
Kaotic Dec 2, 2023 @ 10:37pm
If it wasn't for Mommy Milkers comment, I don't think we'd ever have completed the map outside of brute forcing every combination.

The aesthetic of the rooms proved to be an issue, where you'd think things you see would help you make logical jumps to the solution, but nope, just a nice red herring, giving no indication of how to solve the problem.

Probably needs a V2 tbh, something a bit cleaner, with a flow for how the solution comes to be, instead of 'guess and check' being the play (or like us, reading the comments and praying.)
NotARingRat Dec 2, 2023 @ 10:26pm
If you want an intellectual challenge that works out your brain ----- this is NOT the room for you.
If you simply want an exercise in finding which items snap into the hitboxes... then this map IS for you! 90 mins of actually trying to use the clues and solve it, until we finally read the other comments and just brute forced the hitboxes... Room definitely has potential, but needs major changes before I'd consider it good at all.
Te_N_ Dec 2, 2023 @ 10:01pm
This was INCREDIBLY difficult - Not because the puzzles were hard, but because there was virtually no direction. We had 3 people (seasoned Escape Room players), and it took us almost 3 hours to solve this room, and that was only AFTER deciding that we would just place items down based on their hitboxes.

The concept is decent, but there NEEDS to be more here. Too many puzzles that have solutions that are far from intuitive.

We finished the room because we were just so stubborn after a little while, but we all agreed that we wished we had just quit at the very beginning.

I had tons more typed up but I guess there's a 1,000 character limit. We did not have fun.
Ikaari  [author] Dec 2, 2023 @ 12:58pm
Thanks KRob91481 ! =D
KRob91481 Dec 2, 2023 @ 5:15am
This was great! Challenging but solvable!
