There's a problem: the settings don't save. For example: i always set it as a fireplace only item and with 100%, but every run it resets at default settings, is it a bug?

there are no unique ghosts for those but it should work, they'll shoot out either purgatory ghosts or hungry souls

...So I'm not sure if you just didn't add anything for Rag Mega, but in any case, Reworked Foes and this might not work together. Rag Mega would take the hit, but not produce any spectres, besides the cosmetic, tiny ones. I also ran into a bug with one of Reworked Foes' Champions, specifically the Champion version of Greed, as it's ghost would spawn without a head.

Hello, I have a problem. When I want to put the "separate item" in the options, they are reset each time I restart the game. I have to redo the manipulation each time... is this normal?

i'd say normal ghost pepper is similarly op at high fire rates so i think it's fine

Really cool but overpowered at higher fire rates, most enemies will be stunlocked, maybe a cooldown to trigger the effect?

I like this mod, but if you like using marked don't hit the item with the fire while its on a pedestal lol, killed my own T.Isaac run like that

if you enable the separate item setting the original ghost pepper will appear with the face of the afterbirth+ sprite

If you have the option on to make this a separate item, could there possibly be a new sprite to go with it? I don't mind the items having similar names (Infestation and Infestation 2 exist in the vanilla game after all) but if Ghost Pepper 2 shares the same sprite as the original it'd be confusing, to say the least.

That said if there is already a separate sprite for it I'd love to be wrong, I haven't gotten a chance to try the mod myself yet so I don't know.

awesome mod! would it be possible to make it so the downpour spawn can only happen when you don't take the boss item? it feels a bit unfair to get it for free, in my opinion. regardless, liked & favourited! keep up the amazing work!

After doing some test runs I think I was just mistakenly assuming that the item wasn't working when fighting certain enemies/bosses. Lil Blub has no ghost when hit, but other bosses like the Scourge did, so I thought something was wrong. Sorry about that.

Small question, does this mod work with reworked foes? I might just be blind, but it sometimes feels like this item doesn't trigger properly on enemies. I can try to do some tests but I'd like to know if incompatibility is a possibility, or if this is an issue on my end.

It would be nice if you could attack the soul. Just like touching the white flame, it becomes very fragile and will die if touched. The setting can imitate "Euthanasia", which kills the souls of ordinary monsters with one hit, but causes more damage to the souls of bosses.

I dunno if this is a bug or not, but if I start runs/reroll into ghost pepper with Eden, it's always the base game ghost pepper :( is there a way to fix that?

Could've just added your reworked Ghost Pepper as a separate item while giving old Ghost Pepper a new name/sprite, kinda in a similar vein to Fiend Folio adding a "dusty D10" that does what the pre-rework D10 did.

because the effect makes the most sense for an item named ghost pepper, and i find the effect more enjoyable than instakilling most enemies
