Just curious, not sure what happened, but last time I had this mod active, I found that corpses around the monolith started turning into leftovers.

Is there a way to prevent corpses from being completely destroyed when consumed by wild animals? Blacklisting corpses from generating Leftovers still results in the corpse being destroyed.

I really like this mod, my only real problem with it is that the leftovers don't take into consideration the ingredients of the original meal. I find it weird that i can make a meal using only insect meat, have a pawn eat it, and then the leftovers are "acceptable for everyone".

Nice mod. And interesting how much nutrition is wasted, sheesh.

Would be cool if there was more use other than feeding animals. If you don't have any the only purpose of leftovers is emergency food. For example, i'm using "Fertile Fields" and i think your item is just missing some tag to be able to be used to make compost there. IRL that's what you do with leftovers, you throw them in the compost (if you have one), so it turns into soil again.

I have made a mod to patch leftovers into a few recipes and storage settings. The comment below made me look into using it to make nutrient paste. It would make sense and is easy to patch, but there is one problem. Because the used nutrients are tripled in a nutrient paste meal, any leftovers from them being put back into the dispenser would mean the "generated" nutrients are tripled again and again, making this idea very unbalanced.
This would only make sense if consuming a nutrient paste meal never generated any leftovers (or only a third of the usual amount). This seems like a reasonable idea to me anyway, since two thirds of the nutrients in them have been made out of thin air. What do you think? Is this something you might consider to change?

changed market value to 0.01 hope to fix nan problem

I was using this mod for a while but now the MarketValue for leftovers is "NaN" (Not a Number), it breaks the wealth system and the game thinks you have no wealth, so you don't get raids anymore and quest enemies only have 1 tribal. Disabling this mod fixed the problem. Looking forward to a fix!

@AAA they are forbidden when they are out of home area, this is to prevent annoying wild animal problem

@Krazyfan1 tested and seems compatible very well with fine cuisine. a meal will only left plate iff it's 2/3 star meal and is cooked instead of spawned. But whatever ive change food type of leftover to any

that adds in Meals that drop reusable plates when eaten.
with this mod the only thing dropped is leftovers

Okay, so bad news: the latest patch made it so pawns gain NO nutrition now when eating anything. They will eat and eat and eat and not lose hunger. Had to remove it again.

Thanks Author! I'm giving it another go. Also for those wondering removing it did not break my save, but I've re-added it. It being a source of kibble ingredients and prisoner food is just so cool!

Due to the default allowed behavior for wild animal meals to be retrieved, this means your colonists will spontaneously waste half a day trekking out to the deep wilderness for a single unit of left overs. Wondering if I can unsubscribe without damaging my save.

Neutrals and hostiles also produce leftovers which are allowed for interaction by default. This often results in your hauling pawns walking directly into an insect hive for the leftover of a megaspider:steamfacepalm:

Nice mod! Amazing how much nutrition is wasted in this game.

Patches for farming mods such as Fertile Fields would be nice, to turn it into compost - which is what you do with leftovers in real life. At the moment it's not in the ingredients list.

Noticed a strange behavior with Need Bar Overflow. When pawn eats meal hunger bar increase for respectful amount (with overcap) and adds leftovers for remain >1 (cap) nutrition
