I send you a friend request, there you can ask me about certain interactions if you're still curious.
"what will be your next downfall character to do? would love to see the automaton or snecko!"
I'm actually currently working on the Guardian (I know he's not the most popular Downfall character but I had a really fun idea how to translate the gem system into the board game).
For the other characters I had a couple of ideas but some are definitely harder to implement than others.
The Champ - Very easy to translate as it's basically just the Watcher Deluxe but not my favourite character so I'm not sure if I would do this one soon.
The Automaton - One of my favourite characters but also the one I would have the most struggle with implementing. The whole function mechanic is extremely unique and very much something that requires a complete overhaul to make work.
...
The Gremlins - I don't even want to think about how I would translate this character, doable though, probably not as hard as making the Automaton feel authentic.
The Snecko - Would require a complete overhaul as well, I was thinking about making this character all about the die that is thrown each turn of combat, but it would require a whole lot of new mechanics as well, but I have some ideas.
The Collecter - Very doable to translate into the board game and one of my personal favourites, but I will wait until he leaves Beta before considering translating him into the board game version.
The Hermit - Also doable and was thinking about doing this one before the Hexaghost but I had a lot of trouble implementing the Deadshot mechanic as forcing players to hold their cards in the exact order they draw them would be a bit too finicky as this restricts players from rearranging their cards in whatever way they like. But besides that it should be doable.
"If I advance to a position with a flame already lit (using certain cards), then do I just have to wait, skipping moves, when the track comes to an empty cell?"
If you are currently on a Ghostflame that is already lit you have to wait until the end of your turn to advance it. If you happen to skip the #6 Ghostflame with #1-#5 lit you would have to wait 5 turns for you to be able to Ignite them again via the Ghostflame Criteria as Ghostlfame #6 is the only natural way to reset them, but you can also reset specific Ghostflames via cards.
