Hunger-Free Turret Mod: Turret guards don't starve

The characters keep diying by hunger because turret put them in "combat state", so they prefer end the combat before take food. The real problem is when the characters keep focus on an enemy they can't reach, wich can take several hours some times (because enemies love being fooling around on floor without a leg near the base) and the guards just don't even know there's a "combat" because no one is engaging.

It's not a pathfinding problem, because can order any guard to go in pasive or desactivate the task and they will inmediately go for food.

Maybe the real problem of this issue is the range at the guards detect the enemies, as they can't fire them but keep in combat mode until die by hunger.

Have to try this mod, let's fix the ia for now.

An issue I'm seeing is other races with different hunger effects like the Sheks, they've got a 1.25x rate instead of 1.0x so they very slowly starve. Not a huge issue as normally Sheks arent gunners and at worst you'd only have to micromanage the one dude but figured I'd let you know abt it.

@Dixbfloppin Since the problem is likely to come back the next time you start a new game, you're still going to want to fix this. To check load order, just put this mod at the bottom of your list in the game launcher. If that doesn't fix it, then your MkII Crossbow have been replaced by another mod. Open FCS, go to buildings -> furniture -> Mounted Crossbow MkII, open it, and look at the String ID, it's the third item on the list. If it's something other than 2887-gamedata.base, that's your culprit.

Yeah I have since upgraded to harpoon turrests and these seem to be working.

@Dixbfloppin I’m not really sure what would be causing that, I just checked FCS and I did do the crossbow mk 2. I also tested in in a fresh save and it works with the crossbow mk2. Have you tried importing and rebuilding the turrets, and made sure that the mod order is correct (you’d have to use an external guide for that)? If those are causing the problem then it’s likely just a Kenshi issue, it’s notoriously janky, try experimenting.

It does not work for my crossbow turret mk 2, it's really weird sometimes it does work sometimes it does not.
Do I have to put the turret guard job as the only job?

Finally, thank you. Getting enough skeletons for a wall of turrets, specially in early game, is quite annoying.
