To be honest I don't mind the different versions, but I'm going to play the pre-Watcher versions (of Coral Caves + Stormy Coast) because I miss their ecosystems, I miss karma gates, and I miss the poliwogs.
The Watcher is 3$ more than DP and is objectively just a worse version of several community regions and a worse way to experience regions like Aether Ridge and Coral Caves.
I found it hilarious that what happened in The Watcher is just like a reversed version of the Elden Ring Garden of Eyes mod. The guy who made that mod took tons of assets from the game company's works, including DarkSouls series and Sekiro, and asked for money to play the mod. To made himself "clean", he said "Everything is changed and I had made it something different. "
Surely nobody buy it and the community call him a bloody scammer.
Sounds familiar hum? Just like what VC had done to the Rain World modding community in a way.
Taking all these stuffs from their fans, making it looks like something "Official" and "Original", then selling it back to the fans. WHAT A KARMA LOOP!
I really don't understand why some guys choose to stand up for a game company(or team) that
actually messing around like a scammer, unprofessional and unmoral.
FYI, even the name of our beloved "slugcat" comes from the community comment, but you might already know it.
Or perhaps people don't know a good game when they play it, that is also an option.
i was never a big fan of coral caves, but it's a bit nicer in watcher since it doesn't lock you in turbulent pump for 27 years (you can just leave as watcher lol) and you're incentivized to actually explore the region in watcher's campaign instead of just going straight to hanging gardens
*You have to enable Merge Fix, then restart the game. NOW you can enable the region in the remix menu without any error.
those who snow
Isn't it like watcher exclusive and disconnected from everything?
Also the dev of stormy coast said that it will be getting updated, so i think this one might be too
(minor watcher spoilers)
its base game now.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object
and a whole lot of data (i can post if need be) when trying to apply it, can someone see if they get the same error? i have downpour enabled and it just did the watcher update, but i haven't downloaded the DLC. it would be really nice if i could get some help with this as i really like the mod
