its compatible mid save
Hazy Oct 7, 2024 @ 2:15pm
I'm guessing no, but just making sure, is this compatible mid save?

@Awkland

I think MK Black didn't realise the only Trait reworked was intellect, so he thought you changed physique to "only" disease resistance.

@MK Black
how so? Beauty & Physique only received minimum buffs how did I make physique traits too useless?
_____________
i updated the mod (not like it needed it), so how do you guys feel about eugenics programs after the legitimacy update? i found myself not going for it, but i didn't play much to be honest, anyway I'm working on "experience traits" mod that adds multiple traits that levels up with "acitivites" like fighting in battles and being a Councillor, I will be adding their experience gain to this mod too.
MK Black Mar 24, 2024 @ 11:20am
You made the physique traits too useless imo.

Everything still looks good as of 1.12

@rageshadow7

I'm not so sure on that, just looking at sports at least talent doesn't count for all that much

Of course you need a level of talent, messi and ronaldo were both considered very talented
But neither were considered a generational talent until at least 19 for messi and around 21 for ronaldo

ravel morrison is widely considered among the most talented what-ifs to ever exist
talent that in his youth was considered beyond the talent messi or ronaldo showed in their youth

that absolute extreme outliers of talent can't find much of a space for himself in the professional game
but hard working 'lesser' talents like jamie vardy or james ward prowse slowly developed a career far beyond his

their squandering of their talents can't just be reduced to laziness though, there's a matrix of arrogance, laziness, outside circumstances and the wrong choices that led to this position

...heck, I'd even argue that maybe the Genius trait should come with a small penalty to diplomacy, which could help balance out the other benefits.
Rageshadow7 Dec 9, 2023 @ 3:06pm
LOL, "hard work beats talent." Yeah...not really. While it is true that "above average" talents may be able to be overcome by more extreme effort, with extreme outlier talents....no chance. It is also true that there are lots of people who utterly waste their talents (which is where items like the "lazy trait come in). That said, the fact remains that there is a point at which natural edge simply cannot be overcome by effort. One thing I certainly do agree with this mod on: the high tier intellect traits should never give a boost to diplomacy. In reality, the vast majority of people with intellects in that outlier range tend to have struggles with social interactions. I do think it should still give martial, though, since that skill is indicative of strategy and tactics.

Aye, thank you.
أبو مقرن  [author] Nov 25, 2023 @ 4:58am
@rex fixed the problem

This is a pretty good mod, don't know why PDX decided to do what they did with the intelligence traits. Question though, are the descriptions for the mystic and physician lifestyle traits supposed to be broken in the tooltips, or do I just have some local mod conflict somewhere?
أبو مقرن  [author] Nov 14, 2023 @ 9:53am
i will get around to updating my mods in the next week, for now they all should work fine except Enhanced Dynasty Legacies
tilarium Nov 13, 2023 @ 1:19pm
In case anyone is wondering, works fine in 1.11 and with Legacy of Persia.
أبو مقرن  [author] Jul 21, 2023 @ 1:20am
@Renown i made a submod for additional congenital traits, its not to be a balanced mod like this one, and btw you can use this mod with the additional congenital traits mod with no compatibility problems if it only adds new traits like kalanyr version, anyway this is the link to my submod

@tilarium
i made a compatch for Higher Mortality Mod, check the description.
tilarium Jul 18, 2023 @ 1:03pm
Sorry I didn't respond sooner, was in the process of tracking it down. It's conflicting with the Higher Mortality Mod.
أبو مقرن  [author] Jul 18, 2023 @ 11:15am
Yeah, it must be mod conflict then :C, post a screenshot of your mod list I might be able to help you figure which one is the problem
tilarium Jul 18, 2023 @ 10:49am
I did, it works fine on it's own but once I activate it in the main list, both at the top and at the bottom, it doesn't work.
أبو مقرن  [author] Jul 18, 2023 @ 10:18am
@tilarium did you test it in isolation? make a new mod playlist and have in it alone
and about the negative traits i was thinking about that but sense there its rare for the player to play as or use such characters in his court i didn't bother with them
tilarium Jul 18, 2023 @ 8:59am
I like this version so much better then some of the others out there that change the intellect traits. Curious if you plan to do the same for slow/stupid/imbecile where it only affects the learning trait instead of being a negative for everything along with the negative to the experience gains.

The only problem I am having is that I must be having a conflict with another mod. No matter where I put this in my load order, it doesn't take affect and I still have the default values.
أبو مقرن  [author] Jul 17, 2023 @ 11:37am
@Renown
I guess I can make a sub mod for one of these mods since I had some ideas i didn't implement due to balance issues, probably kalanyr's More Congenital Traits version.
But that will have to come after finishing my Dynasty legacies mod, hopefully today or tomorrow.
Renown Jul 16, 2023 @ 12:23pm
I like this, but I also use additional congenital traits =( I like my level 4/5/6 of traits lmao.
