also she is very toned down it feels, i wish some moves would gain a bit more soul gem bar since her recovery is tied to it meaning with no bar you have no recovery allowing you to die very easily she has nice potential so it kinda bums me to see her on the weaker side.

awesome character, i recently watched madoka magica and i am pleased to see homura here, it would be a lil extra fun thing if she could also use a rocket launcher i loved how she has 2 neutral specials so maybe the rocket launcher can be Nspecial down or forward, either way great work !!

I really love your madoka series, especially homura. She does feel a little undertuned and even weak at times, but also has some really fun combo potential and is just really fun to play as which is what I care about the most. Great mod!

@Rejnka she IS inspired by MUGEN homura, thanks for noticing! and BLW stands for black lives winning, a lot of workshop characters have blm skins and it has nice colors so i included it :3

i agree that she has a lot of problems but i'll make a big overhaul for her next year--right now, i'm focusing on making charlotte (the thing from madoka that kills mami and becomes bebe in the movie) and grima (the dragon from fire emblem)

Really fun and well made, one of my favourite workshop characters! But she sadly is painfully undertuned, meter is depleted too easily, up b has too much start up, she can't kill reliably in advantage, nair does nothing, jab doesn't jab check, side b is not really practical to activate and isn't that rewarding even when successful. I would suggest making the grief seed blow up when the opponent gets hit by a bullet nearby it (also seconding making it possible to reset for when it gets stuck offstage and effectively unusable)
Sorry if this comes off overly negative I genuinely do love how you designed this character which is why I want to give critisism

Idk if you still willing to update the character but can you make side-b re-throw the grief seed?(replacing the one in the field)
You sometimes can get it in places where you can't detonate it easily.
So you either SD/Waste Time to get it out of there or you play the match without a side-b which sucks

...Actually, some of her moves manage to feel familiar without me recalling them from the anime - was this inspired by Cyclops Beam's Homura for MUGEN, by any chance?

A really fun character packed with references to the anime. I think I actually play as her the most...

I don't know what the BLW palette is referencing but it's really stylish.

uair isnt meant to be a kill move, but im making fair and her strongs better
also while her strongs don't have the knockback that they should rn, iirc in current patch full charge fstrong galaxies from center stage at 120 so no clue wha=t you mean by them not killing at 190

I love this character she feels so smooth and the trapping is fun

i think her Up B could use a buff maybe a hitbox where she tps to ( would also compliment the curse mechanic that tps her to the enemy well) or just simply faster start up less meter drainage

and she could use some buffs to her strongs cuz rn they dont kill at even like 190s

i wanna say
Up air also doesnt kill even near blast zone at 100 so maybe slightly more knockback scaling on it would be nicee

Dont wanna be too critical cuz i love dis character and i think the balancing is almost perfect which is so refreshing man im sick of deviantart furry OC characters with whole entire documents of gimmicks and broken shit that are impossible to fight

I think she's pretty weak compared to the homura in the anime, the main problem is the up b, it takes a lot of meter for what it does and her kit doesn't suits her perfectly, and she lacks a bit of killpower when I compare her to some of my characters, overall she's one of my mains and is fun to play as her

i was wondering what to add as the fourth song so i'll do that
her strongs have decent killpower--full charge fstrong galaxies from center stage at 120~, full charge ustrong galaxies from center stage at 130~
ftilt, bair, and the downb rocket have decent knockback, and uair is pretty good for cheesy ladder kills off the top if your opponent is close to the top blastzone

oh my goodness a madoka character in rivals of aether i never thought id see the day

my rating of this character is a 10/10 super fun moves and setups
my only gripes so far is the fact that despite how much damage this character can shit out, she cant kill.(maybe im just bad LOL)
(also pls pls pls pls pls add Theatre of a Witch to her stage theme i beg of u)

i think dimps and jpeg warrior would both be up to make more madoka characters, but neither of them are actively working on one. jpeg especially has other projects he wants to do more. if either of them wanna approach me with a madoka collab, i would not turn them down, but don't expect anything like that
however, i do have one more madoka character i want to make next year: charlotte. the fucking snake doll thing that kills you know who. i know that probably isnt the character you want, but it's the one you're getting

you can cancel side special with a roll/airdodge so if you accidentally start putting the grief seed offstage you can stop it

then i changed it to some other thing, and then i realized that other thing sucked
but a tradeoff like that would be sick

I think something like a desperation state would be cool. Like a buff to movement speed and maybe an extra jump or jump height to balance out the need for increased aggression since ranged options don't refill meter and you can't use recovery. The inclusion of meter gives her a sort of cool phase swap where on high meter she can afford to play around her ranged and set up based options more to gain control of the stage, but always has to abandon her set up eventually to land some rushdown combos to refill it. Maybe reinforce that concept more in how it functions, like with the aforementioned buff to move speed and counter balance by having the gun consume meter.

i'll need to rewrite the way her articles handle collision to fix the weird hitstop stuff, but hell yeah i'll add nair extensions just cuz it's sick
i've been hearing a lot of complaints about her meter being kinda half baked, and i can see why. i do have some ideas on how to fix it, but you'll have to wait for those

extremely weak, her moves and options aren't strong enough to warrant a need for a resource bar that *constantly* depletes. can easily be stalled out and made useless since she can't use up special without meter. overall needs big changes

Not sure if this is possible but might be worth adding something to help with people stalling out your meter on respawn. Had an opponent go the full invuneralbility duration just to time it out, was a little frustrating. The meter is a cool idea in general, but feels poorly integrated into kit. It encourages an incredibly high pressure playstyle, and when you gain stage control it quickly become barely relevant, while further punishing you when struggling to recover. High risk, no reward. Still a fun character overall. I like her a lot.

Using neutral air around her deployables (Mortar, Grief Seed, Detonated Grief Seed, Frozen Mortar Rocket) causes the active frames of it to be extended and suspends her in the air alongside her opponent. I've noticed it works with moves on other characters, like Hol Horse neutral strong. I have also noticed on rare occasions this turns into a global slowdown that lasts a while.I have yet to recreate this, but it sounds like what Rundas had happen. I don't know if the active frame thing is intentional but it's really cool and adds some good combo roots. If it is, it should be documented here. And maybe reintegrated if my hunch thats it's an accident is true. Also it plays on the time control gimmick well. Good addition if it is on purpose.

Kind of wish there was a way to get rid of the Grief Seed outside of shooting it, there's been several occasions where I left it offstage on accident and then it just sits there for the rest of the match. Aside from that, great character!

im pretty sure shes a magnet for weird bugs like these or something lol
a friend also experienced a weird issue where sometimes, randomly, her walk would be really slow, to this day i have no idea what that could possibly be linked to--i did mess with walk a little in her code, but it was just animation-wise; what i did literally could not impact gameplay in any way and nobody else has mentioned anything like that

Okay as I tested her out, she is quite a fun character to play as.
There is a strange issue that slows the game down quite alot, I've tested other workshop characters and they don't seem to cause this slow down, just Homura herself that causes this issue.
Think that the issue comes in if you survive for along while, as there were cases when I died, the slow down seem to go away until I remain alive for awhile, then it kicks in.
Don't know if anyone else experienced this issue, or this is just a my pc thing.
