Thank you for the kind words!
I’m still new to Total War modding, but I envy recolour mods and yours is the best one so far for 3K, so it inspired me to try it myself :)
I just used the paint app that installed with windows. It appears it's actually a Microsoft based app.
I ended up using it mainly to decipher the numbers i needed to put into RPFM to create the color i was looking for.
Here is a link to the app description:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/paint#imagecreator
May I ask you what paint app have you used?
I’m working on a recolour mod for Pharaoh Dynasties, but unlike Shogun 2 or Warhammer 3, RPFM for it doesn’t support colour previews, so I have to type the values somewhere else to even know how it will look.
I’ve already gotten recommended this, but wonder if there are any alternatives:
https://www.rapidtables.com/web/color/RGB_Color.html
Once there i just edited primary color red, green, and blue numbers tables. I tested out the colors by inputting the numbers into a paint app.
I was told that when re naming or overwriting a table, make sure you use the underscores. So for example, i named my custom table as this: faction_tables > LotusColors_
Notice how i didnt have a space between Lotus and Colors. I think if you do a space, use an underscore instead or it might not work properly.
I hope that helps, feel free to respond here and ill try and reply :)
@AC Unfortunately i did not get their permission to upload a submod, at least from what i can remember. I had asked about it and do not recall any response
@AutarchSpar09 Thats a pretty spiffy campaign you got going there! It looks like in the screenshots that you restored the Han empire in the Fates Divided campaign. Super cool! Anyways in regards to the faction color, any idea where i can find the table in RPFM to modify faction color? I have an idea as to how i can correct that issue but TBD on the fix for now.

@Ryder I think i tested this once and im pretty sure it is not compatible. I would have to look into the pack file to know for sure or even test it out again but im 85% sure it would cause overlap. It might work in game where the game chooses which flags to use or the 1st mod in the load order but honestly, to avoid crashing i would not chance it.
Only issue is, my radious mod is actually just a copy of their mod with a few tables edited so it's not truly a sub mod from my understanding. Especially since you would need to run my mod in place of their part 1. Ill see if i can find a way to make a patch/submod so everything works correctly and then i can viably post it to the steam workshop.
Very much appreciated that you said that and i take a lot of pride in wanting to make any three kingdoms game an amazing experience. Someday i hope to improve my mod capabilities even further but this mod was a good starting point for me and brought out my research/ creative side.
I do plan to continue editing minor factions, just taking a break at the moment
Glad you like it, i still got more work to be done as i've barely touched 194 but im taking a break for a bit and will wrap up 190 1st ;)
Your screen snooping at this point my friend LOL. Because i use gimp and then do my conversions with paint.net as well. The final task is using RPFM on my end.
Wish i could do more for you but glad you worked your way around to getting the one faction complete :)
Yeah Gimp couldn't open some of the DDS files, so I had to use paint.net . I don't have time to update all the flags, I just wanted to remove the character for the faction I was using.
Also be careful on those DDS files and such. A recent subscriber noted that my flags were out of alignment meaning, they werent lining up on the screen where the should have been.
Ive fixed the issue probably to about 98% so you really cant tell if its off anymore but.. wish you luck and apologies i couldnt be more of service. Im on other games right now plus 3k and just created a script for the sandbox mod. If i wasnt so occupied i maybe could of helped more
I can change the png file, but how do I change the UI.flag.dds file?
I wish i could my friend. It is very possible and easy to do in photoshop but depending on how many flags have symbols, that would be a lot of updating is where all the work comes in.
I was surprised to find out that each faction i edit has 2 flag templates, one for battle and one for campaign plus 4 other campaign sizes. So in summary, getting the time in to do all that vs creating new content would be somewhat difficult. If you know anybody who mods or if you mod though, you're welcome to use any assets.
All i ask is to please credit Jaymis, the original mod author. While this mod is becoming more and more my own, he was the original founder and created the foundation for this mod.

Oh, it can be compatible. Thank you very much for this mod work.
As far as im aware, it should work fine with TUP + MTU. I have a patch mod made for TUP + TROM but thats due to a very very minor overlap in tables. I have not tested only MTU + TUP but I don't see any reason why they would really conflict.
Definitely report any issues back though if you can. I can always try to get approval to make more patches from those mod authors :)
The original mod author basically completed every major faction so I decided to re work a couple majors and then add in my own flavor to minor factions.
This mod is currently on pause development wise but only because I wanted to play the game a bit. I have at least 7-8 more minor factions I wanted to complete plus maybe re work colors a bit more. I expect to resume with new flags in week1 of August :)
I had the right idea and i still like the hummingbird as his animal but going to re do colors for sure and possibly the logo.
Look for a fix update shortly and another new flag, this time Kong Zhou!!
UI issue is on the city banner where the flag still isnt centered the way i like.
So thanks to AutarchSpar09 for pointing out a small but noticeable UI problem, i have found about a 98% fix to the issue. At first i thought i was going to need to re create all the flags i have touched since the UI flags are different than battle or standalone flags. THANKFULLY i found a 5 min approach to correcting all the UI flags vs taking an hour to recreate each one. Keep an eye out for an update in the next day, possibly tonight for a fix. PLEASE let me know if you see an issue. No matter how small the issue, i'd like to correct :)
Ill keep looking into it my guy. I've been so focused on creating new items that im finally slowing down to get colours corrected and matching more plus the UI issue. Thanks for all the feedback, especially the screenshots so i can see whats going on :)

They should be wearing purple. When i tested without other mods they were wearing purple but others have reported red. You seeing red by chance?
Does the UI thing still seem off? I think i got it close but i cant tell if its still wonky or not. I know how to make future UI flags 100% vanilla like but i dont know the easiest way to not spend another hour per faction on it. Its hard to explain but for now i create 1 flag and just convert it over to all the places it needs to go and its super easy LOL
I think Radious edited these tables recently but i cant be sure. All i know is last time i played Radious, the game was choosing my mod or theirs for like 5 factions. I have a patch made that makes it 100% compatible with Radious but unfortunately i cant upload it publicly without their permission :(
Technically i never got Jaymis permission to use his assets but he did say somewhere to freely ask him about using his assets. I asked but he hasn't responded.
Hmm I see not using any other mods that affect unit colors and as far I can tell TUP/MTU doesn't mod faction colors though I think TROM does.
It most probably is Radious that you're talking about since I tested it with your mod awhile back with only the flags changing but not campaign/unit colors. Though Jaymis work fine with Radious.
I tried fixing the UI issue as best i can. Remember im very raw with modding so im still learning. The Han Empire was purple. I noticed in the screenshots you were playing with some sort of portrait mod. Idk if this was TUP or just puzzle, just know i have found that TUP + TROM, Radious, and other overhauls like WuKing do edit the same tables as this mod does.
I tested Han Empire to be safe and the uniforms were showing purple thankfully.
My favorite overhaul at the moment is TUP + TROM and if i remember correctly, Han Sui will have conflicts/troubles displaying either the TUP color choices or this mod. When i played, it chose the TUP mod as the choice despite my load order layout.
Han Empire had issues with one of the overhauls, i just cant remember which one. So i dont know what you play on but just keep that in mind.
