1. Within the spawn menu's weapons tab, there should be a subsection called "DrGBase." Within it is a possession weapon. When equipped, aim and shoot at the nextbot you want to possess.
2. Hold the context menu button (default is C) and right-click the nextbot you want to control. Then, click on "possess."

Oh yeah, Antlion Guardians use DMG_POISON too.
They use it after they dealt DMG_CLUB damage and if the player is still alive (Antlion Guards use DMG_CLUB aswell without the DMG_POISON damage).
Fun fact: DMG_POISON is also used on the Antlion Workers death explosion.
But yeah, their are alot of other damage types (like DMG_ACID, used on the Antlion Workers acid spit).
Late reply, but you can probably make the Deadnaut immune to the damage type DMG_POISON (the damage type the poison headcrab uses).
