enable Easy Avatar and Touhou skins >> Confirm >> exit game >> launch the game again should help. What the root of the problem, I don't know

Actually, just did that now. You should be able to put all skins as subfolders in a single mod:
Mod\Skin_1\* becomes Skin_1
Mod\Skin_2\* becomes Skin_2 ...

If you put anything in the main folder, it will still behave like it did before (will create a skin with name = mod name)

I'll put a mix&match update in a few that allows you to pull different pieces out of different skinpacks. Lmk if that solves what you needed or I should do smth else

easy skins limits that and only allows you to replace skins entirely with 1 type of character at once, you could create a blank slate avatar which just makes it equivalent to a rog clone

but fair if you dont want to, just easy avatars itself are limited so I dont think you can without contacting the mod dev themself for the mod to implement a feature to hotswap

ah I realise easy avatar skins overwrites the sprites entirely, if you joint he discord I can help you set up basic avatars creating entirely new ones as opposed to overwriting the main sprites
