i love arena shooters like unreal tournament and quake,also i like half life 2 deathmatch,this addon is great and we need more deathmatch gamemodes with bots in gmod.

glad you enjoy it! maybe someday I'll recreate g-arena with capture the flag, but I actually have a much cooler idea in mind that I hope to get into action this year.

download enhanced playermodel selector, then ingame in console type playermodel_selector (i think). there should be a section for bodygroups

Would it be possible to add an option to remove the glowing effects on the item pickups? I'm pretty much stuck at a constant 20 FPS

When I used the Grenade Launcher, I noticed the gun doesn't work well with replacements because the moment I tried to fire grenades, no matter the charge time, the Grenades just "Dropped" right out the barrel without any additional velocity

I wonder if you could have the Grenades use a packaged version of the HL2 Grenade model that they will ALWAYS use regardless of replacements or possibly use Unique grenades entirely that while they act like the HL2 ones, won't be affected by any replacers HL2 grenades will be affected by.

Also could you make the Pulse Repeater use the Dropship gun firing sound?

oh the rockets are fixed? sweet. also about the railgun ye it does that lol, the code is super messy and I didn't know how to do it.

also the railgun beam doesn't appear in singleplayer but it appears in multiplayer, it doesn't really matter since it's supposed to be a multiplayer gamemode but just thought i'll mention it

just noticing whatever i used to push the update was actually an older version of g-arena. im gonna do something really quick to revert it back but keep the new fix for the rpg

when you switch the gamemode to G-Arena and go to select a map, on the right you can see all the input fields where you can put in the weapon name to replace the default ones.

If you don't know the weapon names, in sandbox you can rightclick them in the spawnmenu, click copy to clipboard, and it'll copy the weapon name for you to put into one of the input fields.

The mode works fine on its own on any hl2 deathmatch map or map prefixed with "ga_". If you're talking about adding the G-Arena entities to maps not meant for it, the screenshots on this page give a brief tutorial on how to do it using the Modest Map Manipulator mod. I gotta say though its not that great and you would be better off editing the map in hammer to add the entities which is a bit complicated.
