I want Britain to remain a place of fractured kingdoms for long. I want the Franks to be locked in a Gavelkind struggle & less insane migrations. However, this was a very violent time period, just not an Imperialist one.
With the Hordes DLC you can now demand tribute from people. This was excessively common at the time period & conquests were far less common, even during the later middle ages.
Someone should tweak the AI with that in mind.

@Gnasty Gnome, tnx
that makes sense
you can also at some point thinking about addint completely new stuff into the game, like new personality traits or events or new interactions with other characters
i feel like for me these are the core of what role playing in this game feels like
No mod trait, if player has the vanilla trait loyal, have have a good relationship with their liege, player will be faction blocked.
but what do you mean loyal? just a high opinion of their liege or is it a mod's trait?
my next update would potentially include extended faction blocks (limited to player characters only and not AI)
Example 1 : if the player is Craven and is intimidated by it's liege, players is faction blocked
Example 2 : if the player is Loyal and their liege does not have a low opinion of player, player is faction blocked.
Note that i do consider all constructive ideas as well.
You're welcome! Ambitious rulers tend to care more about winning conquests, which brings them happiness and reduces stress. However, they also experience increased stress when they lose a war. In real life, no one would willingly subject themselves to high levels of stress. Your suggestion seems to focus on maximizing the benefits of the intrigue skill tree for the player, rather than considering the character's perspective within the game. The purpose of the mod is to encourage players to roleplay wars based on their character's personality traits. Your viewpoint reflects the perspective of a grand strategy player, which doesn't align with the mod's intended purpose.
Compassionate, Content, Craven, Lazy AI don't like declaring wars anyways, these gain stress from declaring wars
other ones lose stress upon win and gain stress upon loss.
Dominant traits are Ambitious/content, stress gain/loss value is 40
stress gain/loss value for others is 20, (greedy is 40 sometimes based on the war and the specific outcome).
Yes
The introduced stress mechanics affect all characters, including AI characters.
This mechanic already exists in vanilla, its called offensive war opinion,
after 6 months of being war, counties and vassals will start having a more negative opinion modifier on you, as each month passes
Another suggestion is that declaring wars impact vassal's or general opinio (this will punish player for declaring too many wars in a short time)
Thank you, I am willing to expand on this concept, your thoughts and ideas are appreciated.
