Hi @Hell I'm working on some mod and wanted to add some new GUI frames for leaders, but when trying to reverse engineer stuff from vanilla files, I couldn't figure out how this work. Any chance I could bug you a bit on priv, to maybe get some directions on how to approach this?

Issue resolved. It was calling on an non existent leader portrait that seems to have been removed in the latest update.

I see, I only tested with the compatibility mod enabled as well. I see the crash report with this mod as standalone, should be able to resolve the issue now.

I was unable to reproduce this error, what mods did you have installed along side it? Could be a conflict somewhere. As far as I can tell its working as expected.

I will overview the code to make sure nothing changed since the last update from UIOD but good to hear, not been active on Stellaris but its nice to see people get value from this!

Maybe add a different color highlight for traits that affect the sector/planetary government? It's a pain in the ass to scroll through each leader to check what is useful for a planet. Maybe a blue outline for those?

Crashes on 3.12 when initiating dialogue with the new synthetic queen crisis with this mod enabled. A real pity, I love the look of this mod!

I think that this may be bugged for 3.11.2
I am noticing skills that have "Empire Effects as Councilor" that are not highlighted with a yellow circle.

if there was an easy way I would have it in the mod, sadly no. Previously I attempted speeding up the animations by a factor of 1000 to increase FPS after initially loading the menu (so you would skip them basically) but this was causing issues in other areas.

I can confirm for Dant's issue, that it actually affects all Leader assignments: You can't change around council positions, who is governing a planet, or leading a fleet - if it's something that involves "clicking" to select the leader for something, it wasn't possible to do (Can't confirm for things like Federations/Galactic Community, or First Contacts, as it just wasn't playable to even try to go that far).

Having an issue after 3.10 launch where the mod seems to be preventing me from assigning leaders to roles. Turned the mod off and I could assign them again. Specifically Scientists to Science vessels, didn't check other leader/assignment combos to see if it affected all of them.

Yeah it is a shame really, I try and assign leader traits from the pop up when they unlock a new trait nowadays to avoid this lag.

The part that really bothers me if I'm being honest (sorry for the rant) is that you have to enter that menu so many hundreds of times to assign traits and every single time it gets more sluggish, it's like Paradox doesn't play their own game if they don't realize it's a problem... Unless they all auto assign? How boring!

I'm still having the problem but unfortunately I still have it with static portraits =[ I think it's just the vanilla engine struggling to pull up so many leaders and so many traits all at once lategame. The only workaround I've found so far is that, once you've gotten all your leaders set, you can add a mod that allows you to reduce leader pool to 1 or 0 so that at least it's just your clutter. When I saw paradox addressed it in the patch I got excited but clearly it's still a problem I was having it yesterday around 45 years in

@skavak haha that's how I found this mod... I saw that they addressed this issue in the patch notes but *wow* I cannot fathom how Paradox straight up breaks their game with this change (every single time I open the leader menu lategame I'm down to 1fps and my cursor is freezing all over the place) and I have a computer that can run Cyberpunk/bg3/MW on max settings max fps. Absolutely crazy! If you find a mod that fixes this issue please, please share it =]
