The tram filter is difficult to place in tight spaces - I am sure you know that already. The game is not so clever with streets and these are streets. One question: why did you set the tram filter as a station and not a street construction?
Changing the station to "terminus" with track connected crashes the game
Replace them with terminal stations later.
BTW Thank You Very Much, your underground and elevated tram stations very useful at early eras, there is nothing similar in the workshop. Also your tram track filter and filtering stations are really helpful to prevent autotraffic over lightrails at early era, before selected tram and buslines will available.
RE: Z fighting I have seen this too, I have tried to fix this in the latest update (just pushed)

@MichDem no unfortunately from the games perspective trams are completely incompatible with rail
