Would be great to see this updated again at some point, but I honestly think it would be best to ask for one after the resolution of the second season of expansion content. I assume new DLC are just going to break things again.

By any chance could you change swift feet from fast movement to very fast movement? right now it's not allowing any items to change hero speed to very fast movement.

Thanks for the understanding, I'll take a look at getting it to work sometime during thanksgiving, I tend to work a bunch leading up to the holidays so I'm not very free till right around them.

@Xiphos Fraznoir do it yourself then. Neverr did a fantastic job with this mod but he doesn't owe you anything. If he decided to move on, well that is sad but understandable, in that case someone else will have to take over updating this mod.

Or not as it still worked for me before this update and I doubt something major changed.

@Neverr I agree with you there, but hopefully they will fix a lot of the issues in tha coming DLCs. The worst thing according to me is the feeling of a not completed game. In AoW 3 it was ready when sent (DLCs was just a bonus, as should be). Now it seems like they try to patch things.

They increased the strength of lightning evocation so it shouldn't be at 10 anymore.

Thanks Fonzosh, sadly Aow4 had not captured my love like the previous Aow3 did so I moved away rather quickly. I could be convinced to hop in and troubleshoot this though if there are problems. Should be fairly simple.

The Capstones appearing and disappearing I believe were a design decision to make them feel more unique by only being able to get one at a time but it's been a while so I can't recall if that is true or just my memories.

I also see there is a swift feet issue with an unchanging movement speed.

I'll prolly take a pass at it to see if I can fix these, anything else people noticed?

Like this mod a lot (as allways Neverr, I seek you out since you started modding in AoW III). Though there seems to be some problems. Some of the capstones appear and then disappear if you take another non cap stone trait. Maybe it is the watcher update that fs it up?

Thanks again for this mod, nice to have extra variety!

One small bug to report: When Swift Feet is chosen and a mount is equipped, the hero stays 40 movement despite having a 48 movement mount equipped.

This may need an update for the next patch, AI can cause the game to crash by doing something.
This happened in the beta branch and it's consistent when it happens. Reloading and ending the turn again just makes it crash again.

yes it still works with the new patch. I use it all the time and even created my own local version of this mod that meets my tastes. Great mod btw!

A good idea for a mod but frankly idk what it is talking about with "how generic and boring the heroes feel compared to previous titles". AoW2 and 3 hero customization were also super boring.

It seems if you combine this mod with mod "More Starting Loadouts" starting gear Sphere of Lightninng will get your ruler awakened ability (Awakened Lightning Evoker). The same thing happened with Aeromancer gear, but this one is from the Loadouts mod.

Your mod is very funny. However, would it be possible to increase the capstone abilities to a certain level (5, 10, etc..) or make a mod with no capstone limit?

Small suggestion/request: Could we get the "melee mage" skill as a potential finisher? Maybe it could require you to invest some points in both melee and magic tree.

@Neverr I don't see the additional traits at the beginning of the game (at the hero level up screen). So, when my hero gets level 2 or 3, I don't see the new traits. Haven't done a complete playthrough though. Will the traits unlock at a later stage?

Great mod, but for me it isn't working since 25/05. Please note that I made a playset with only this mod active to check if that works. Nope. Anyone else with this problem? Any workarounds maybe?

I unlocked the defensive capstones but the only one I can pick is Omniguard, the other two say I need one more Warfare trait to unlock.

Okay so tried this out, and Swift Feet is sadly still a trap. Hastened buff doesn't change it so your hero becomes the only unit with 40 movement while your entire army can move at 48.

LOVE this mod - traits are incredibly sadly lacking. Heros are the best part of the game, and the traits are insanely lacking. All heros end up basically the same - Thanks SO much for this mod. I'd love to have even more options. THANKS!

Oh, as a suggestion for the support skills - maybe have governor skills linked to Support? Could have one set exclusive to one another that lets you train special units from any city they govern. (Not sure if there's any at the moment besides Friend of Ogres, admittedly)

Hi, I'm not sure if this is due to a mod conflict with one of the other mods I have but this mod seems to mess with the wildspeaker unit. Specifically it can still use the "Conjure Animal" ability can still be used but it doesn't spawn an animal.

sure I will wait for that. I mainly played with allowing player to pick all capstones in the same group and making all magic capstones replace their weaker version and being free to cast just like Awakened Lightning Evoker. Ah also reverted your changes on Wild Summoner just cuz I like having the option to have a broken trait on my kit and on the off chance facing an enemy with that trait to spice things up a bit once in a while

to add on to my previous comment

i think it would be nice to allow for rulers to acquire combat-related background hero traits as combat skills.
currently, the fact that non-ruler heroes get 1 unique background trait makes background heroes more significant than ruler heroes in combat (or in governing.)

i should note that not all background traits are for combat. some, for instance, give extra city stability as governor. while i think that is outside the current scope of the mod, getting ruler heroes on par with background heroes in combat feels like a good thing to do.
most of the combat background traits are completely unobtainable for other heroes. the only counterexample I could find was Frenzy, which can be obtained through demonkin major transformation.

I would like to suggest a capstone skill. In the melee skill tree, when reaching level 5 in melee combat, how about giving 'power of slaughter' (permanently increases max health by 1 and damage by 1% when killing an enemy unit)? This is a skill you receive by summoning Balor with sovereignty when you take the final tech of the Chaos series.

@Neverr: I believe so, the Anvil Guard (Industrious) gets that ability by default if I recall? So the taunt function should be in-game.

Summons are great to secure your living Army and dont forget: everytime when you summon a Unit, you loose your turn !!!

...and for a high Tier Hero this means not killing 1 or 2 enemy Units ! I think thats rather balanced

@Ran as I am getting more experienced with the creation engine, I am learning more ways to implement things, I am certainly looking into alternative ways to give the summoner playstyle ways to function.

@voragoski I can certainly look into it, not a bad idea if the functionality exists in the engine.
